LIBRARIANS HAVE NEVER BEEN A quiet bunch: Information, after all, is power. To mark National Library Week—typically celebrated the second full week of April, fittingly, went into the archives to find our favorite stories of librarians who have fostered cultural movements, protected national secrets, and fought criminals.
@awakenlibrarian 🤎💜 Y'all, I'm in love with this Charlie Brown Me!! This is too much fun! 😍💫 TY @MobleyintheMix for the share! I encourage all librarians to share this for #NationalLibraryWeek!

Happy #NationalLibraryWeek to those who celebrate. I love my smol library/archive Mastodon instance. I love my local library (where I check out books and also sometimes work) and I love the distributed mutual aid system that is public libraries in the United States.
There are some real problems, ones that need attention and caring (both internal and external) but I'm happy I chose libraries and am happier they chose me.

Libraries are awesome! Did you know that for a limited time, individuals in the US, ages 13-21, can apply for a free Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) eCard, gaining access to BPL's eBook collection and learning databases. Great #opportunity To apply, email:

It's apparently #nationallibraryweek? Even if it wasn't go visit your local #library and support them. With the rate people are trying to #ban#books its only a matter of time before #libraries are targeted for all the services they provide.
Progressives and Leftists must put public libraries at the top of organizing agendas!
For the People--a leftist library project--is having a fundraiser to support their work. You can help by buying one of their new t-shirts! All proceeds will be used to support access costs for their events and other basic needs.
