#normalizeNudity is also an important issue, but it is NOT the same as wanting the SAME EXACT RIGHTS to go topless in public and online for ALL genders that currently only "male-looking people" get.
Why does it scare us to see a naked body? Aren't we all supposed to have one? I don't consider the clothes to be bad, I like to wear clothes, but it bothers me that it is believed that the clothes define my status or that I have to use them to hide my "imperfections"
What do you prefer books, ebooks or audio books?
I prefer a book more, it's less tiring for my eyes and allows me to be more focused. Although an ebook allows me to carry more books when traveling without so much weight.
For a while I've been wanting to do a video about "the 'isms of nudism," like #ableism , #classism , racism, etc, as frequently happens in regards to nudism resorts and other nudist spaces. But rather than just talk out of my ass for this one, I want to actually research and prepare some stats ahead of time, and try to make it into more of a planned-out "video essay" instead of just a vlog.
So I could really use help from anyone who wants to in finding out/researching stuff like:
how many nudist resorts are currently actively available for use
average price for nudist resort memberships
average distance from habitation, cost of renting a cabin, etc
difficulty in accessing nudist resorts--transportation, lack of disability access (like the swamp you have to hike through to get from the parking lot to the water at Rooster Rock clothing optional beach in Oregon 😡 )
cases of racism, homophobia, transphobia, anti-tattoo, anti-piercing, etc behavior at nudist resorts--news stories, or personal experiences
challenges of joining a nudist resort if you're a single male, or other cases of being denied entry over being gay, childless, etc
non-landed (no dedicated space) nudist gatherings, how many there are, how they find participants, how often and where they meet, cost of events, etc
any other considerations I'm not thinking of at the moment that prevent access to nudist spaces for most of us who aren't independently wealthy and/or retired so we can afford it, have a car in good working order and the money for transportation, food, membership and cabin rentals, and/or who don't fit the "family friendly" expectation of straight white cis that many nudist resorts expect, implicitly or explicitly
While I was raised nudist myself, I've rejected the label for years now and prefer to say I just support normalizing full body nudity (but not shaming those who prefer to stay clothed), for a lot of reasons that I detail in my video "why I stopped calling myself a nudist" https://www.toplesstopics.org/nomorenudism/
But I still have a ton of nudists/naturalists who follow me and post on my content, and others who are "interested in nudism but don't know how to start." The video essay wouldn't be anti-nudist exactly, but is intended to point out the many limitations to finding places to be nonsexually naked without getting in trouble or judged that those raised with privilege can be unaware of. I'm a big fan of watching #videoEssays and there are so many wonderful ones out there, but I haven't really tried something so in-depth before, and I could use the help making sure this one is well researched. Thank you in advance. :)
So longtime friend of the Topless Topics community mrich (as we all know him by) and I have been tossing around a #podcast idea for a while (I know, I know...this one will be good though, I promise ;p) and I could use y'alls help in solidifying the concept before we jump in to making it.
While we're still figuring out the structure of the podcast, the idea is to have a few somewhat disparate sections to it - gaming/ #comics / #cosplay /etc, then brief reaction to current #politics / #news (like #feminism , #LGBTQ , #racialJustice , anti- #capitalism , and so much more), and (hopefully) an interview with someone interesting ( #sexWorker , #activist , #artist , etc...whoever we can find that seems like they'd be a good fit for the pod! Then finally, maybe an "ask us anything" advice/reaction section to round out the episode.
I'm thinking we aim for <= 2 hours, one episode per month, but if we really get into it, maybe an episode every other week. I'm still gonna have to edit it and I have a lot else on my plate so I don't want to overextend myself too much. If we happen to stumble into wild success maybe I could hire someone else to do that part in the future, then we could record more often :p
On some subjects, of course I will defer to his expanded first-hand experience, like #racialInequality . And on other subjects, it'll be mostly my turn to step onto the soapbox, namely about what it's like to be a woman in this #misogynist#sexist world. We've chatted for many hours over the years and always gotten along swimmingly, so I don't anticipate undue friction in the longterm (a benefit of having so many like-minded opinions already). But I still think we have enough difference in life experiences to provide an interesting perspective on a variety of topics.
What do you think? Does any of that seem interesting to you? What kinds of things / people to interview would you like to see on a podcast created by a pair of different similar leftist nerds? Would you listen to such a podcast? Please, lay your feedback on me! All replies welcome, as long as you're not being a total jerk ❤️
Nudism has taken me to see incredible places, like this forest a few minutes away from Mexico City. Even though going up there was exhausting, when I got there and saw that breathtaking view, it was worth every minute of the walk. And still people ask me why I love nudism?
Good morning fediverse! #getnaked and enjoy your day.
I don't have an image for you today but I invite you to post an image that shows how it feels to practice naturism.
(That means that they should: be non sexual in intent, properly captioned/credited and, if the image is a photograph, be sure that it has been taken with permission and that the people is Ok with that picture to be posted in the internet.)
This was a small hotel. Typically only one or two of the guests would be in the water at a time, with another couple laying on the sand. When others were in the water, they were mostly submerged. I like to float, so I was much more visible.
You can see the clothed people in the background. The second photo is a zoomed-in crop of the first.
The job of a content creator is to show you the beautiful part of a moment. But believe me, there is hard work behind the scenes. Of course I enjoy it, I’m not complaining at all, it's just remembering that a content creator also works and many times that is not recognized.
Trying to explain, yet again, to men that "female nipples" aren't "sexually explicit nudity" if "male nipples" aren't, and we shouldn't have to #normalizeNudity for the entire body just for female-presenting people (and/or anyone onlookers and algorithms categorize as "female") to be granted the same #genderEquality that male-presenting people get. IT'S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE.
Firstly, at what age does this go from being cute and innocent to being a perversion? And secondly, WTF, no it doesn’t, just because a person’s old enough to be interested in sex, doesn’t mean they can’t enjoy playing naked and carefree sometimes without it being sexual.

I borrowed an #Android#Xiaomi#smartphone to see what the built-in Portrait mode could do. The result was not very good, so I tried to improve it a bit on my MacBook.
Social networks, even those built on the principles of decentralisation and federation, cannot be more free and open than #society as a whole. I used to have an account on pixelfed.social. Now it's gone. With all my 8 followers and 8 photos. 5 #photos were sceneries, 3 showed me in the #nude (with CW). The latter were of sentimental value. I didn't spend much time on that instance. Followed Server Rules. So I can only guess at the reasons. Not a single notification. Just erased. #NormalizeNudity
Life is better with nudist friends. @nakedwanderings that day was fun, we biked the town to look for nude beaches, we had a storm, we danced in the rain, we toasted and enjoyed the moment.
Someone asked me yesterday what happiness is for me, to which I answered that for me it is when I eat a delicious taco, or watch a sunset, or laugh with friends. Sometimes the simplest things are what make us happy.
Have a beautiful start of the week.
Recently I read: "Focus on what you can control. You can't control how people will see you, judge you or treat you. What you can control is your own excellence."
Let go what you can't control and set yourself free.
