It's time to Bonk, or should I say Re-Bonk? 🤔
We have a remix album out with remixes of the previous Not What I Call Bonk Wave Volume 2!
It's full of great tunes, and a community effort to get it out. It was fun to be part of it all.
Get it at Bandcamp or Faircamp, check my post for links and some yum codes:
Had you noticed? There's a new release of remixes of music which may, or may not, be #BonkWave !
It includes my somewhat heretical remix of @n3wjack 's track "The Way of the Bonk" from the last compilation, and not one, but two reciprocal ambient(ish) remixes of the Key 13 track 'IBM'.
Not only that, but 6 other truly amazing remixes! What are you waiting for?!
I was playing with some effects and thought they were cool enough to record
FOR TWENTY FOUR MINUTES
Consider it post-ambient music: It goes on repetitively, but it's not comforting unless you're into industrial or experimental electronica. It's meditative, if the meditation is on aggressive and awesome noises. If anything, I suppose it's #NotBonkwave
This version is still based on the original MIDI file, but is more of an #Electro beat with a bunch of added live-tweaked stuff, including a fairly restrained TD-3 bassline.
Today we have a shameless plug for #BonkKnobRecords and our brand new #Faircamp site, where you can grab all previous releases including the equally brand new #BonkWaveAllstars single for nowt!
With all that saved money you could consider making an independent artist happy by supporting them, buying one of their releases, or if you're strapped for cash, praising or sharing their work.💕
Apparently it's a Electronic Cottage Compilation, a
collection of 26 tracks from artists all over the
globe using only instruments and sound makers
of any kind that fit into one's pocket.
#BonkWave usually, but not exclusively involves an instrument or device too big to fit in a standard pocket. Now, those big marsupial pockets...maybe. :blobcatthink:
