Currently getting the run around between #eon and #nationalgrid trying to work out who is responsible for the fact their is no #wan coverage for #smart meters where I live. Of the 2.5MWh the household has consumed from the grid this year alone I've sent 1.5MWh back into the grid. There are only so many free showers I can have by diverting the spare energy into my hot water tank!
#OfGem is considering 'zonal pricing' which would seen #energy prices differing on the basis of proximity (or otherwise to generation) - essentially abandoning universal service provision for energy & introducing a price incentive to live near(er) locations were power is produced...
This might also include pricing by time-period (the old night-storage heater model) 'encouraging' people to recharge tech or run non-time-sensitive energy-hungry processes over-night.
Some progress with my #EonNext FIT tariff. They needed a letter to say I wanted it decommissioned. Not sure why, but hopefully they can update #Ofgem quickly and I get back to exporting.
We are about to start the export back scheme at a rate of 3.5p per KWH . We pay at the moment 40p to #scottishenergy. Does this mean they make 35.5p per kWh profit. Or do you preside over a #ClimateDenial self energy creation scandal?
