We should all recognize that American democracy will end not only if Trump becomes president.
If Trump is elected it ends in 2025.
If Haley is elected it ends in around 2026, after she implements Heritage’s plan.
If Biden is elected, w/out SCOTUS reform, it ends around 2027.
I've mentioned before they make up their own estimated #delivery#dates, which are more #optimistic than the carriers themselves estimate. They do this to drive #sales; #buyers are less likely to buy if it'll take a long time to get to them.
Today: buyer in #Australia ordered, delivery by surface #mail. #Canada Post estimates 24-84 business days by surface. That's up to 17 weeks, plus extra because of holidays in there.

Really digging the #community#vibes on #Mastodon this weekend. I know it’s been stressful for the network given the massive influx of new users from #Twitter… but I’ve had so many great interactions with new and returning people. Feeling #positive and #optimistic! 🥰
2 years? Not possible here. If we wanted to replace 80% of ICE vehicles with BEVs, we need major electrical #generation and #transmission upgrades. I'm #guesstimating it it started today, it would take 20 years.
One thing that has become apparent over the last 20 or 30 years is a true change in education - particularly "higher" post-secondary education. While many have pointed out various flaws and problems, they mostly seem to point to differing ideologies ("indoctrination").
That problem is significant. Instilling a particular set of beliefs rather than helping to build the mental skills to investigate and understand the world, and then synthesize a cohesive set of beliefs, leads to failure.
It is possible that young people with this problem today, as they mature and gain experience in the real world, may start seeing shades of grey. They may start developing good mental habits. They may obtain the mental tools that university should have provided them with. They may learn to think, clearly and with reason.
