It's possible now to run R codes on a web browser without a supporting R server with WebR.

And it's possible to implement it on your own Quarto website through the quarto-webr extension by @coatless

My latest blog post showcases the ability of incorporating WebR to make Quarto documents interactive and dynamic:

Today's Bonus Drop is free for all as an Unbirthday 🎁 (if you do share today’s emergence 🎉 w/me, pls 👀 the post tomorrow to make it a proper Unbirthday 🎁).

Since late September, there's a new #typescript #jupyter kernel in town thanks to the clever #deno folks.

In this somewhat abbreviated Drop, we 👀 at how to install & use it w/Observable Plot in both #Quarto & #ipynb contexts.

(1/2) Holy 🐮, did you know there is a Grammarly extension to VScode?!? 📚📖📒

TIL that there is a extension to plug in to VScode that enables text editing directly on VScode. I started to use Grammarly when I wrote my first book, and since then, this is my go-to app for text editing. I used VScode as and editor, and so far, I had to do a ton of copy-paste between VScode and Grammarly. Hopefully, now, this extension will make this process more efficient. 👇🏼

I am completely failingto replicate in quarto something I liked from xaringan+xaringanExtra. I want to show a directory tree and highlight one of the lines whilst showing some additional text. I don't seem to be able to retain the monospace, properly indented for all the text and change one part of it.

What I have in quarto: directory tree with some explanatory text for the top line of the directory tree. I'd like that top line to be highlighted

3mma,

tried various nested ::: {style} options with white-space: pre;
Can anyone point me to an example? #
