Found a full Anno 1800 playthrough on my channel while spring cleaning.
I really forgot that I had done that. It's already 4 years ago, hard to believe. Figured I might as well share it, it is a good game - despite being published by #Ubisoft
C'est le matin et je vois que la commu des joueurs de the crew 1, un jeu de course de voiture sur une carte des usa, est en feu parce que y #ubisoft a fermé les derniers serveurs du jeu.
Étant donné que le jeu requiert une connexion pour fonctionner même les possesseurs d'une version physique ne peuvent plus rien faire de leur jeu.
Fait intéressant des membres de la commu on trouver des traces d'un mode offline dans l'exécutable mais celui ci est désactivé et n'est pas activable a l'heure qu'il est.
Apparemment un patch permettant de jouer offline, simulant une réponse serveur est en développement par la communauté.
As you already know, the 'The Crew' servers will be shut down at the end of the month.
And as I've posted before, I really care about this game and I wanna be there when it gets shut down.
BUT:
I'm not gonna be home that weekend.
It's not clear to me, if the game will shut down on the 30th or the 31st (Article says 31st, client says 30th).
I don't know if Amazon Luna will keep the game until the very end.
Update:
Amazon Luna disabled the game, yesterday.
It was still available after midnight, natively, though.
I'm home now, let's see when it goes offline 👀
