Okay, I'd like to again ask for help with finding an IT job. Please boost or share with anyone who might know of openings in the Seattle area or remote. I've been searching for 7 months with no luck, and am now unemployed with savings running out soon.

I'm an IT Systems Admin with 10 years of experience, a bachelor's degree in IT, and Comptia A+, Net+, Security+, and CySA+. I've worked with:

Windows Server 2008-2022
SQL and Windows SQL Server
C#
Printer/Scanners
Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Networking and Sonicwall Firewalls
Troubleshooting and Helpdesk, both remotely and on site
And many more general IT fields.

After having another very bad week of job hunting, I could use any help possible to find a decent job in my fields. I've had to deal with 4 recruiter phone calls in a row just today alone that keep trying to throw no-benefit, nearly minimum wage helpdesk jobs at me that would hardly even cover my bills, much less live on. I'm at my wits end, and would greatly appreciate any referrals or such. Anything to get my foot in the door at this point.

What certifications should I focus on first for improving my job hunt at a larger company here in Seattle? Any boosts/help appreciated.

I have Comptia A+, Net+, Security+, CySA+, and a bachelor's in IT, with 10 years of experience as tier 1/2/3 tech and a lot of varied network/sysadmin stuff without any real focus.

I need to rapidly skill up my IT/Sysadmin skills, going from 10 years of experience at a very small company to looking for jobs at enterprise places. I don't have much experience on popular enterprise systems like AWS, VMWare, Azure, Microsoft 365, Exchange, or Cisco products. My role has been a jack of all trades, master of none.

I've got a week or two to do some intense study before hitting the job market hard again. Any tips?

I wanna hand out candy in fursuit but we don’t get any trick-or-treaters at my new place :(

2chaotic,

@lupomancer had candy and all, but no one came this year. Just wanted to be a big raccoon to throw candy at people xD

Sometimes just letting my brain run rampant, unshackled, and untethered is the correct option.

And what a beautiful moment of mania it is.

To all you self-taught coders out there, what would you tell someone who knows enough to be dangerous with programming in general, what to focus on to improve?

Asking for job hunt assistance from any folk in the Seattle area for all you in the PST.

I'm a / tier 2.5 IT tech of ten-ish years looking to relocate to Seattle for work. I've got A+, Net+, Security+, and CySA+ for certs and a Bachelors in IT. I'm just throwing this out there for anyone, mutual or not, for open positions or referrals. On-site, hybrid, remote, all good to me.

I'm looking to go somewhere where I can learn enterprise tech and escape away from Indiana. Any boosts, tips, or LinkedIn contacts/job posts/etc appreciated greatly.

Really trying to move onto the next phase of my life.
