I have a problem with my #Emacs configuration: I need to #askFedi for some #FediHelp.
This https://marcoxbresciani.codeberg.page/emacs/emacs.html is my current Emacs config file.
The strange thing that happens is that when I yank into an Emacs buffer some text in Japanese (say, from Internet or Notepad), instead of proper characters I see lots of ??????
Font supports Japanese, I also have Japanese IME.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
I just started using Emacs so I'm basically blinding copy config pieces here and there.

Glad that I've bought my #ErgoDash #MechanicalKeyboard from #FalbaTech, but:

1. I've asked for no tilting/tenting kit, and there is one. Not a big issue, but removing it will expose the screws holes, now. 🤦🏻‍♂️
2. The asymmetry of lowest four keys, in left (mods) and right (arrows) halves is really annoying.

No luck.
I've updated Chrome from 123.0.6312.123 to very latest 124.0.6367.61 and even turned off uBlock and everything else.
Could it be a CORS issue?
I can't even use the "Support" button from Contact page.
I cannot see the drive also on a freshly downloaded LibreWolf portable browwser.

Could you please take a look?

Columnar staggering is not the problem, arrow keys are!

Question for all you #QMK and #MechanicalKeyboards lovers out there: the ErgoDash default layout has a couple of C functions in the keymap file. Do I need (to keep) them?

I'm playing with my keymap for the first time, while waiting for my ErgoDash to arrive.
I've created a few layers and everything compiles. ✌🏻
I don't want to brick the #keeb as soon as it arrives, so I was trying to understand what those functions are for.

Weird #question: is there a way to use #passwords without knowing them?
For example: in an API to API communication I (hopefullu) need a password or token. Is there a way to let my application retrieve and use it, without be being able to know such password?
Or: I have a shared resource (e.g.: intranet page) that, for whatever reason, I cannot put under SSO. Can I let people access such resource with a password, without sharing it or even without letting them know it?

I've bought an ErgoDash #MechanicalKeyboard and I'm using it with the Italian (142) layout on my OS.
It's obviously impossible to find #keycaps with such layout (it's even difficult to find normal Italian layout...) so I'm planning to search for a custom set.
I've found https://fkcaps.com/custom/ that's quite nice but in USA, so low shipping but high custom fees and additional VAT.
Is there're something similar in Europe?

In the end, I've just finally decided to climb the Colemak-DH mountain.

I've never been a touch-typer but using 3-4 fingers per hand, moving hands here and there, I was able to easily play it at around 75wpm with basically no errors.

I've bought an #ErgoDash #MechanicalKeyboard past summer: I'm still struggling with the "normal" QWERTY (see layout here https://marcoxbresciani.codeberg.page/keyboards/ergodash/current.html), not yet able to go beyond 40wpm or so, with frequent errors.

Wondering if there is a (possibly automagic) way in #Emacs #OrgMode to export/publish links in different colours (or have them with a different CSS class) distinguishing between site-external (https-somewhere) and internal (other org files, images and everything belonging to local files)

I'm reading this right now, but I'm a super Emacs/OrgMofe newbie and I'm not even sure I'm understanding it, but I could try it as soon I properly understand.

So, in the end, it's done.
I've bought another #MechanicalKeyboard.
Since 2018 I'm on a Filco Majestouch 2 TKL, at home and since 2021 a GMMK 1 TKL in office.
Now I've just bought from #FalbaTech an #ErgoDash v1, with three 1u keys in the thumb areas, no underglow or damn LEDs 😇 and Kailh White Box switches.

Day 6 without my #ErgoDash #MechanicalKeyboard : I've been to post office on August 8 to return it to #FalbaTech, to replace the case, and according to Italian postal service it's still somewhere in Italy. 🤦🏻‍♂️😠😡🤬
It would've been easier and faster to go on holidays in Poland.

Ciao #FOSS people out there!
I need your #help: I would like to "move" my tiny blog from WriteFreely (@write_as, see https://write.as/marco-bresciani/) to something more wiki-like, sort of permanent #OrgMode -based thing (see Digital Gardening concept, even if just as an idea).
A possible solution would be to rely on, say, Codeberg, GitLab (or GitHub) and put there the plain .org files, leaving the lift work to those servers.
Or? Other alternatives? Jekyll? Hugo? Export as HTML? Org-Roam?
Ideas?

My brand new #MechanicalKeyboard #ErgoDash by #FalbaTech.

First feelings: lightweight, wonderful bamboo, nice packaging and "add-ons": free keyholder, free (bamboo!) wrist rest in this period, tenting added (even if not requested), a couple of candies too!

Second feeling: friggin' difficult to get used to, but lovely.

Ciao @cryptpad . I'm a bit (too much) paranoic and I'm using RethinkDNS to protect my privacy from trackers and the like.
And I've turned on almost all lists, just in case.
In one of these privacy lists (should be https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cbuijs/accomplist/master/malicious-dom/plain.black.domain.list called "ThreatIntelligence Malicious Domains (cbujis)" ) I've found your sandbox.cryptpad.info that, if blocked, doesn't allow using cryptpad.fr at all.
Should I try open a bug to the list or are you going to explain the URL yourself to the author?
