The word atheism should always be in lower-case.

It means a disbelief in gods.

I am such an atheist: I disbelieve in gods generally (and not just in one in particular), like I disbelieve in gnomes and dragons and other supernatural and paranormal things.

And the word does not mean anything more than that.

My a-theism means no more to me than my a-gnomism.

The problem comes when one tries to convert lower-case atheism to upper-case Atheism, with the implications of its own belief system.

The first RPG in nearly three decades is on the way.
Terry ’s Discworld series has been a fantasy mainstay in books for decades. So it’s odd that there haven’t been attempts to adapt it into a role-playing game, especially given its wealth of characters, species, settings, and deep satire.

Modiphius announced it has officially licensed Discworld for board games, & a tabletop RPG called Terry Pratchett’s Discworld: Adventures in Ankh-Morpork.

For those who cannot see my new avatar let me tell you about it. There is a circle of spoons, radiating out around the goddess anoia. Anoia stands, dressed in dark red, her four arms holding tongs, chopsticks, a pot and an elegant cigarette holder with lit cigarette. Scissors hang at her waist. She looks annoyed, or wryly irritated. Her hair is a bouffant volcano. Her eyes are the colour of magma. Charging cables hang from her spoon brow jewellery. She is filled with the fury of stuck drawers.

On a bit of a movies tip at the moment.

Watched The Amazing Maurice last weekend (which was fine, not amazing), Going Postal last night (thoroughly enjoyable, heartily recommend), and The Colour of Magic tonight (ten minutes in, have no opinion yet).

Terry's way of looking at the world was ‘Ordinary people in an extraordinary world’. His characters weren’t extraordinary.

Sir Terry Pratchett wrote an entire story to use the punchline 'there's a guy works down the chip shop I swear he's elvish '
So don't tell me the man is not a genius, a nerd, and makes the ultimate dad jokes.
