Is there anyone with a instance running can give me some advice on the media URL / proxy?

We host media local so not with S3

Do we need to use a nginx proxy for this or plain URL?

Remote media doesn't load correcrly and im not sure where the issue is

I know you switched over to lemmy for now, but did federation work on your kbin instance? Mine says something about a missing private key when searching for federated content and the command that generates them fails to do so...

But the upvote counter doesn't seem to sync properly... So the favorites on mastodons site are not correct. That Lemmy doesn't have the correct number is completely normal I think, because its not the originating server and therefore the favorites do not propagate to it.

After separating my Sidekiq processes from 1 to 6 I now occasionally see the number "500" in the corner. I wonder what causes this... Mastodon doesn't seem to have every clear logs anywhere...

@michael Well the setting for automatic approval is activated, yet I have to approve trending news, so I think yes. But there are none waiting for approval, so that can't be it

    I really like that it is not a positive/happy song. It seems to me like there is this pressure to always make positive/happy music in . Thats why I can't listen to 99% of Twice songs, they just seem to be forced to be happy...

    Meta aka Instagram is working on a Twitter competitor that is rumored to be ActivityPub compatible.

    If you run a fediverse instance (Mastodon, Pixelfed, Calckey and others), would you ban a Meta instance?

    I honestly don't know. I think I'd let my community decide, which will probably lead to a ban, but I myself don't really know.
    Because even if it works like with Jabber or XMPP like many in the comments mentioned the people on Instagram, etc would have the argument that "we could talk to them if we didn't ban them, so why should we switch". But why would they switch if we ban insta. I don't know, but I think it could benefit the fediverse and it could really harm it.
