This is absolutely shocking. Here on the Island we're used to coastal erosion and landslips but this is just awful.
After all the rain and flooding we've had there's been a huge landslip in Bonchurch. 20 homes evacuated. A cafe which is one of my regular spots for a coffee is hanging on the edge.

Years of training and a 4 hour grading finally saw my lad being awarded his black belt in Tae Kwon do tonight.

He and his peers were named as the COVID Crew by his instructor as they had to relearn virtually everything from scratch. 4 years worth of skills interrupted for a couple of years until they could take their grading. Very proud of him as he worked so hard 💚

I doubt that they did either!!

1. Had a difficult and frustrating day at work. Afterwards, offered to (blow off steam by) go to the shops for ingredients for a celebration cake (well, tiffin). Now I'm back I can congratulate myself for not quite having a tantrum in a suburban tesco express because they didn't have any plain digestive biscuits.And the coōp had them anyway.

1. Nice visit from family (& we offloaded some old toys and the like)

2. Nice visit to family (and collected 20 fresh pears, so no need to shop for the fruit bowl this week)

3. Added more sealant and the tyre turned from a colander back into a tyre. Proof of pudding tomorrow morning, though.

If you like the Discworld novels I really recommend it.

This week it came to an end (I'm halfway through the final episode) & wanted to share how enjoyable it is/was in case someone else might like it.

Tooth extraction brought forward to tomorrow morning, thank goodness!
The antibiotics have eased the pain a little but 5 days in and it's still infected. The tooth was crowned in 1986 and been ok since then.
Glad I haven't got to wait another 3 weeks as was the original time frame for it to be removed. Christmas run up in retail with a manky mouth isn't fun!

I'll be glad to see the back of today. In agony with an infected tooth that needs to come out, emergency appointment on 18th December (!) That's private as NHS dentists don't seem to be a thing any longer. On antibiotics that make me feel sick.

Spent the day watching people that have never graced us with their presence before realise that we don't do Black Friday.

Son bringing his new girlfriend home from school , she lives on the poshest road in town to our very untidy and unposh house!
