I wonder what happened with them?

Gulag happened to them.

When Lithuanian intellectuals started their anti-tzarist activities in 19th century, they mostly did it via the organisation known as the Union of Sobriety. Some things transcend both space and time.

Here’s what stories I remember from USSR-Afghanistan war, told by actual veterans:

They would punish extremist acts by throwing women and children out of a helicopter, Pinochet style. The person who told me that drank ever since he got back from the war and never stopped.

There was one man who left his tent for a midnight leak and came back to his entire tent with their throats slit. Had insane PTSD.

My father-in-law got his legs messed up by machine gun fire, got airlifted to East Germany to get put back together, doesn’t talk much, but still drinks a lot.

Cultist Simulator - $6.99 -> $0.99 (play.google.com)

In this infamous roguelike narrative card game, play as a seeker after unholy mysteries in a 1920s-themed setting of hidden gods and secret histories. Become a scholar of the unseen arts. Craft tools and summon spirits. Indoctrinate innocents. Seize your place as the herald of a new age.

I have played this on PC.

  • Pretty good lore, unique gameplay and mechanics.

  • Slow early game, winning takes too long and a bit easy to forget about something important and die.

Yes, it’s not encouraged for people with other mental disorders to seek autism diagnosis because of how likely those people are to get a false positive for autism.

Yes, in Europe, most political parties, both left and right, have their own climate change mitigation policies, because if they don’t, they risk just not being elected.

They had a concert in occupied Crimea in 2015.

But after the war, they distanced themselves from current events.

Just finished my 260 hour Xendar’s mod playthrough on Factorio.

Thinking of playing Pyanodon’s, but my start is giving me second thoughts.

I don’t want you to download Manjaro, but I had one partition as root and another as home and Manjaro just asked me to install itself in root, to replace my previous borked Ubuntu installation and use old home without data loss, instead of making me set everything myself again, like Ubuntu does.

A lot of oil is used to produce energy or heat homes and to produce plastics. Moving towards renewables and better home insulation will have a much stronger and faster positive effect on reduced oil consumption than a move to EV’s would.

A lot of unseen costs of this war will take decades to be seen.

Reduced education spending? Less qualified workers to create added value.

Reduced social services? More people getting sick and dying.

Reduced infrastructure spending? Increased prices of transport and goods.

Don’t crop out the artist.

This was clearly made by Herta Burbė, by the way.

Russians think that they can bargain with a fascist regime. Just like during the Ribbentrop-Molotov pact.

Justas,

I agree. But I also think that he’s a loose cannon who will explode in their faces eventually.

To be honest, USSR, for which tankies simp so much, purged the Jews, the Poles, the Armenians, the Uzbeks and pretty much anyone who wasn’t either Georgian or Russian from their government. So in a weird way, communists were fascist too.

Maybe they think I’m doing a dog whistle of some sort.

Maybe they are mad because I didn’t name AAA games which do that, I found it difficult to name examples because I haven’t played any recently.

Justas,
@Justas@sh.itjust.works avatar

Yes.

I have complained about buggy games. I have complained about badly written games. I have never bought an AAA game at full price, because they are extremely expensive. And quite frankly, most of those games cater to a demographic I am no longer a part of, because I am getting too old to fit into.
