The web is becoming old enough that you'll find answers to questions that despite being accurate at the time of writing, are no longer so, having being surpassed by more recent discoveries and developments.

And I don't think my typical web usage is ready for this paradigm shift.

Today, in the life of the developer of a weather app:

I did a “what the hell?” When I saw/heard rain hitting my window. My app said that it wasn’t going to rain today. @mercury said that it wasn’t going to rain today. The iOS weather app said that it wasn’t going to rain today.

Some pipe for another building outside burst and it was hitting my window. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Turns out your boys have to get a few drinks in them before they can muster the courage to “work the room” and even then they rely on kind souls waving them over into a circle of nerdy conversation. Socializing is, indeed, complicated.

I tend to go through seasons of musical interest, and I tend to “rediscover” (in a loose sense) some stuff in my library. This can be quite nice as I get that “fresh” impression on some stuff I haven’t listened to in a while.

And I think there’s few songs that make me go “damn that’s a good song” like the two opener tracks to The B-52’s album “Bouncing off the satellites”: “Summer of Love” and “Girl From Ipanema Goes to Greenland”.

Those two songs are seriously great. #NowPlaying

Cron, a calendar app owned by Notion, is now generally available (and free). Has some missing features (no iCloud integration) but it's been my daily calendar for months now and I recommend it https://cron.com/
