I try to stay off the devices on weekends, and it's almost impossible for me to do.
Even though this is supposed to be a music resource, there's too much going on in the world to only focus on music. I end up checking the latest news anyway.
I just turned on my device a while ago, posted stuff about Malcolm X's birthday, and was about to get off, when I couldn't resist scrolling around and I found out about the helicopter crash.
My own view is, I'm so sick of fascists, I'm sick of the far right, I'm sick of dictatorships, and the rest of that ilk being so dangerous to the planet and it's people, that my empathy card is ripped up when one of them is dead!
Israel has now (re)displaced more than 110000 people from Rafah where Israel had previously told people from the northern Gaza Strip of Palestine to evacuate to.
On top of this Israel has now also issued further "orders" for people to evacuate (it does not have authority to issue such orders, that is for the territory holder to do) eastern Rafah as well as the cities Jabaliya and Beit Lahiya in the northern part of the Gaza Strip as it plans to reinvade those.

Should hearings and meetings and all that still take place? Yes.
Was yesterday historically significant? YES! 🇵🇸
Was it entertaining to watch a 50 year old toddler throw his toys and shredded paper out the pram? Absolutely. 🤣 🤣
But I'm fed up and personally angered by the fact that there's just NOTHING enforcible and veto proof (looking at you, #ButcherBiden) that says : 'All forms of violence including mlitary terrorism by the State of Israel towards Palestine and the Palestinian people will cease permanently and immediately (by U.N. military force if need be),. And all war criminals will be arrested starting today'
