GNS is a decentralized and censorship-resistant domain name resolution protocol providing an alternative to DNS. In 2023 the GNS was published as RFC 9498. The authors of the Martin Schanzenbach & Bernd Fix will talk about GNS & the road to published an RFC.

Is anyone going to by way of on Friday afternoon or Saturday? There will be thousands of stickers at the Stickerkoning.nl ready to go to FOSDEM. But they don't have a ride because most of us are already in Brussels. It's at least two big boxes so not a task for train people to take on.

$NewJob and $NewLife in $NewCity are all taking up so much of my headspace that I've had very little time to work on or any other passion projects lately.

In particular, this has impacted my @NGIZero grant work - I am still finding time to make progress on the code, but I just can't seem to bring myself to writing blog posts and pushing things over the line required to achieve the milestones.

I should push to github more often tho. Code is getting written...

Hmm yeah, when you put it like that. I understand why that wording could give you that impression.
We don't mean independent as in 'stand-alone' but rather that you don't need to be part of a formal structure like a business or institution. (You may, but don't have to.)
Wholeheartedly agree with your point that the commons are best taken care of in collaboration. Had not heard of Conway's Law but it sounds convincing (and interesting).
