I really enjoyed reading this story from New Zealand a few years ago, so I dug it out to share here after a long search. Because maybe you'll enjoy it too
Feels like a good week to tell every non-binary person in the #Fediverse how amazing you are, and remind everyone here that non-binary identities are stunning, beautiful, individual, deep and go so far beyond the 'enby' or 'NB' stereotypes you may not believe unless you're talking with them to understand ... :heart_nb:
Well you're adored, amazing, you've taught me over the years and are still teaching me new things about gender ... including off-grid outside the binary. Plus you take personal authenticity to the very very max. Do I sound a fan? Well yes, cannot deny how much I think you all rock ... :flag_nonbinary: :butterfly_nonbinary:

@ciram Totally! Sadly until we view 'binary' as repressive and even the phrase 'non-binary' as counter-reactionary language ... it's the phrases we have today 🤷♀️
For me we all "do" gender in our own way - or should feel free to - and see gendered language as broad-brush, full of holes, stereotypes and grey areas
Not showing my age or anything, but as a kid a Kodak Carousel 600 was what we meant by 'multimedia' tech ... am I alone? Except the word multimedia didn't exist 'back in the day' of course, so this was the equivalent of VR goggles
It was designed to be brought out for Xmas and holidays, and to torture the neighbours with holiday snaps

If we think of gender as something to be enjoyed, rather than an ideal ... then it's rather fun? And no, I don't think for a moment it's purely a trans thing either btw
My posts are missing something very sorely, and that's me being #lewd on main! Because I am that kind of person, too! So have a very small selection of my absolutely favourite photoshoot I did, even though the lighting equipment sucked and the room was too small.
