@blogdiva English is not my mother tongue, maybe I'm misunderstanding the words. In Europe, I learnt that expat is a more administrative term (taxes, health insurance etc.) for people who go abroad for a limited period of time for a company (usually in privileged positions). Unlike migrants, they are still insured in their country of origin, sometimes pay little or no tax in their country of work and then leave again with all privileges.

@CyberPunker Wir kommen hier von Hölzchen auf Stöckchen, das führt von der ursprünglichen Diskussion weg und bringt uns allen nichts. Mir geht's in meiner Notiz oben um die Differenzierung, weil hier Klima als Thema aufkam, aber oben eindeutig LLMs & Co. gemeint sind.

Klar, brauchen wir Gesetze. Anwälte unterscheiden da auch immer sehr fein.
Aus meiner Notiz zu folgern, Wissenschaftler*innen würden die nicht einhalten, finde ich ... gelinde gesagt, abenteuerlich.

Eine Kollegin möchte in Karos und Linien z.B. für Prüfungen erstellen. Bisher macht sie es über Tabellen und Linien zeichnen.
Mein Vorschlag war, ein Rechteck einzufügen mit Hintergrund Schraffur mit dem gewünschten Linien-Abstand (Karos oder Linien). Damit kann sie je nach Platzbedarf das Rechteck mit den Linien vergrößern/verkleinern. Das geht mit .In Word finde ich diese Anpassungs-Möglichkeit leider nicht.
Oder gibt es einen anderen sinnvollen Weg in Word?

If you've updated Firefox to version 126, check your privacy settings. They now collect more data on searches by default. https://blog.mozilla.org/en/products/firefox/firefox-search-update/

They say they don't collect precise data and anonymize what they do collect, but it's easy for attempts to do that not to be as secure as intended. That's one reason I urge analytics collection to be made opt-in (FF's isn't) instead of opt-out.

Typing up subtitles and translating subtitles: 45 minutes.

(And now putting the subtitles into the video... I want to finish before it's time for the afternoon walk. And I have tons of other things on my list, too. But subtitles are important.)

Did you know that there are services that create subtitles automatically? They also translate, but that usually costs money.
