I'm thinking about #proprioception today & how it might relate to my intense dislike of dancing.
I understand that others like dancing & think I can understand why (although it's a very abstract understanding). I even have a version of it in my head where I enjoy the rhythm of it but the moment there's an attempt to translate that from thought to physical act my brain goes from "this is fun" to "I absolutely hate this, make it stop".
Does anyone else have this?

Can anyone recommend the #Tandem app for #language practice?
I'm at intermediate level with #Spanish. Reading comprehension & speaking are ok, but I'm struggling when listening to others - it's like my ear/brain is not primed for it outside of certain scenarios, e.g. at the shops.
I tried an online intercambio yesterday but it was a bit too advanced for me & most of the others I can find on meetup.com where the times work for me are either beginner or advanced.

The storyline around Dr. M'Benga's daughter raises some questions.
First off, he's imprisoned a seriously ill child without any apparent ethical oversight. Even if it's for good reason, that should not be a decision left up to an individual, especially not the child's parent.
Yes yes, I know... "a parent's love", blah blah blah... Fact of the matter is parents aren't known for always making the best decisions for their children's welfare especially in times of stress.

Does anyone know of a #ToDo &/or #Task mgmt app that does the following 3 things?

1. Remind me of tasks that need to be done AT a certain time, e.g. booked appointments. A single daily reminder is fine if there's a "my day" style view like in Microsoft ToDo.
2. If I complete all of the 1st set of tasks in a day, suggest additional tasks that need to be done BY a certain time, e.g. getting a bit of paperwork done by the end of the week. These should ideally be prioritised by their due date.

Manual reset doesn't work so it looks like I need to crack open my #Kobo #eReader. Nothing is working on it apart from the LED on the power button which will turn on & off signifying nothing as far as I can tell. But first I need to wait for the kit with the spudger to be delivered because we don't have one in the house. On the plus side, my partner remembered he had an old eReader in the spares cupboard so that's helped me claw my way back from a total meltdown.

I suspect I'm going to be off work at least some of this week due to Covid & am contemplating watching the final 2 seasons of #XFiles. Despite being massively into the show when it first aired, my fixation on it had ended by the time they rebooted/revisited it & I never got around to watching the newer seasons. But would it ruin the memory of the show for me? That is the question. 🤔

Has anyone else noticed that the new bus stop displays for #LothianBuses in #Edinburgh have a tendency to "lose" the next bus (or 2) a few minutes before it's due to arrive? I've noticed it at a few stops across the city since the new displays were installed. I'm sure the old ones never had this issue.

Ugh. (Gently) butting heads with an app developer with a "works on my machine attitude".
Like, yes, my dude, it works on your machine because your app & database on your machine are both local. Did you make any plans for pushing them beyond your local dev environment? You know, out into the real world where we tend to have dedicated database servers that need to talk to each other? No, you didn't, despite knowing that this is how we run every env from dev to prod that isn't your local dev. 🙄
