The storyline around Dr. M'Benga's daughter raises some questions.
First off, he's imprisoned a seriously ill child without any apparent ethical oversight. Even if it's for good reason, that should not be a decision left up to an individual, especially not the child's parent.
Yes yes, I know... "a parent's love", blah blah blah... Fact of the matter is parents aren't known for always making the best decisions for their children's welfare especially in times of stress. #StarTrekStrangeNewWorlds
Secondly, when he gets back to Federation space or his homeworld, somebody at some time is probably going to ask "Hey, didn't you have a kid? Whatever happened to her?" That somebody might even be another relative of the child.
I feel an an ethics committee would look unfavourably on this whole mess. #StarTrekStrangeNewWorlds
I fricking love this picture. What do you get when a holographic doctor, a starship pilot, a starship nurse, and a starship captain all walk into a bar?
Here’s my #BestOf2023 list. It’s subjective, I’m not particularly stringent about criteria, and there’s not rhyme nor reason to my choice of categories.
There are four (unless I add more as the day wears on) categories, each will get its own toot.
Picard and SNW: Best SF TV Series
LD: Best Animated TV Series/Special
Anson Mount, Patrick Stewart: Best Actor in a TV Series
Jonathan Frakes, Ethan Peck, Ed Speleers, Todd Stashwick: Best Supporting Actor in a TV Series
Jess Bush, Celia Rose Gooding, Jeri Ryan: Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series
Paul Wesley, Amanda Plummer: Best Guest Star in a TV Series
Watching an episode of Star Trek Strange New Worlds…the room sizes all seem crazy oversized. Did the show or fans ever do a deck schematic to make it fit into the footprint of the ship or are they just doing cartoon physics? #StarTrek#StarTrekStrangeNewWorlds
"How Would That Feel" is definitely my favorite song from the soundtrack.
"It might be time to change my paradigm,
If only I can let go of the wheel,
My fear replaced with total faith,
I'm fiercely free and really real,
Flying blind,
How would that feel?"
