The one thing I don't quite get about the #Fediverse is why we even need different software. For example, why can't #Pixelfed just be another - more sophisticated - frontend for #Mastodon?

Hast du schon mal die Preise von Autos gescheckt? Deren Zuverlässigkeit (Stau, Wartung, Pannen, Parkplatzsuche)? Deren Flexibilität? Deren Sicherheit? Deren Barrierefreiheit? Deren Lernkurve? ...
