Hey #CasioCult,

I want to get a cheap analog Casio with a diving/timing (rotating) bezel.
Any recommendations?
Something kinda understated (and CHEAP!), I don't want my wrist to look like that of a Navy Seal. ;)

I truly don't believe in profanity (I can explain it to anyone who's curious -- the reason is more practical than religious), however, I find it mildly gratifying that I can edit my bash aliases and functions file in one fell swoop with:

vi .bash_[af]*

Continuing my descent into #Wayland madness...

I switched my LG Gram running #KDE #Plasma to Wayland tonight, and fired up a 4k60 test video on YT.

As #LindaRichman would say,

I'm getting some strange behavior with #sddm, #KDE #Plasma, and #Wayland.

My login (selecting Plasma Wayland session) dumps me into an Xorg screen with 3 xterms. I then have to 'sudo systemctl restart sddm' and log in again...etc..

I'm leaning towards going back to #CalyxOS from #GrapheneOS.

Graphene's security features are really fantastic, but I miss #MicroG.
I understand that Graphene does a lot of sandboxing of Google Play, but I'd rather have as little google stuff running as possible, and I don't like missing notifications.

Unless there's a detailed explanation and analysis of how the two compare, I'm not convinced that running full GSF in a sandbox is better than a mostly FOSS re-implementation of it.

Dear @Fedilab and other wonderful FOSS developers,

Why am I having such a hard time panning images in most FOSS apps?

Video of me attempting to zoom and pan an image in FediLab. Notice the touch indicators showing me swiping over and over again and the image only panning a tiny bit at a time.

You seriously can't rub your hands together for two seconds? The pump has to foam up the suds for you?

My music stopped playing, the phone rang, I answered it.
After speaking for a few minutes, I hung up and the music started up again.

It took me a second to realize that the music wasn't coming from my phone, it was coming from my computer.

#KDEConnect is groovy, y'all. It pauses your music when a phone call comes in. (MPRIS-compatible player required, of course, but even mpv on the command line can do that)
