I think #Mastodon earns top spot for a couple of reasons.

  1. Decide the posts you see with custom filters.

  2. Join servers that moderate how you prefer.

  3. Mods block servers federating to their server that against their values.

  4. The user can always block accounts and servers they don't like with custom settings and configurations.

@BeAware which platform? as i'm talking about 3 different platforms within the poll that's linked to. Mastodon, x, and Threads.

and it appears to be a debate as a small percentage those that voted picked Twitter and threads in that poll.

I still don't know what the ban was about, lol I would try costumer support or etc.

Compared to the Mastodon votes there would be less debate on this. But it shows that some think Threads or Twitter is better at moderation.

Threads i'm not as sure ,but surely since it's decentralized it would have its issues.

Then Twitter/x a platform known for defying the laws of physics as some might say. They're known for not moderating some speech. Some governments even had concerned over x.

And THIS is why I hate corporate social media....๐Ÿคฌ

Literally made a Threads/Insta account and got InstaBanned without even doing anything....submitted an appeal.

30 or so hours later I realize I can actually login (they didn't send ANY email) and start setting up my profile and notice Fediverse option isn't there. After mucking around for 30 minutes or so, I'm banned AGAIN! I didn't even post anything or put anything in my bio...the only thing I did was upload my profile pic....WTF.

Threads apparently has enough users....๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿคฌ

@BeAware What name and profile pic did you use for your account? I know Facebook required you to use your real name, does Threads require this?

@BeAware As far as I know we can see posts from threads, and that's where it seems to end. I don't know if Threads users can see Fediverse users as we could see them.

Supposibly enabling fediverse users to search their profiles is opt in. Not default.
