Asteroid City was at once one of the most technically perfect movies I've seen in terms of set design and cinematography, and the movie that is by far the most stubbornly determined to prevent you from caring about anything that actually occurs in it because it explicitly rejects any emotional attachment to the story itself.

From his point of view, why not make the most Wes Anderson movie ever made? He has a dedicated to cult like fan base and no matter what he makes, Austin will shower him with praise, so, at this point, he could be getting bored and beginning to see just how far he can push it.

He was kind of that way with the fox movie.
Directing it via iPhone from France.
He didn't have people who understood how stop motion animation worked, so the fur on the dolls looked like they were covered in continually moving worms, and he made up some BS about the continually moving fur makes them "come alive" or gives it a "retro" feel when really, he just insisted on real fur which can't be used for stop motion animation.

    Our new house has clothes moths. Nothing has been eaten yet, we've only been here a month, but I'm interested in nipping this in the bus if I can, and hoping to avoid moth balls. Anyone have some good moth tips?

    Maybe get inventive. Line your closet with cedar!
    Just cover the interior, top to bottom, floor and ceiling, with cedar.

    Also, I live in central Texas, where the cedar pollen levels are the worst in the world and deadly.
    The more cedar trees you can kill the better!
