SNCF Connect “Train Full”

And ok, there are stops between Paris and Nuits-sous-Ravières but normally more get off than get on at Sens, Joigny etc.

And yes I just booked on a later one and took the 13:35 earlier one

It's just BFC, every and every long weekend they are doing the same shit to not provoke pictures of overcrowded trains while lots of people can't travel because of that shit... BFC and Michel Neugnot seems a bit crazy...

Yeah and it's a bit sad, they had materials with really high capacity (some more comfortable than others) and now they have just the crappy small Régiolis 🙃

Yes I know their Régiolis, and they are just no adapted material for a main line like that. I am not a friend of Omneo but they would have been a better choice. 6 caisses Regiolis has as many seats as about 3 Corail carriages... And they used to have V2N on that line in the past for the rush hours...

The Régiolis in UM2 are too little for the high frequency days but in UM3 they are too long for some platforms. Such a bad choice of train 🫣

If you’re a regular on trains anywhere, get the Railmap app. It’s an app based version of OpenRailwayMap

Some day when you need info, and railway firms aren’t providing it, it’ll save you - as it did for me today in Dijon

It’s official: SNCF and Région Grand-Est announced that they will introduce compulsory reservation by summer 2024 on Paris-Strasbourg and Paris-Belfort-Mulhouse TER lines…

These trains are so popular among travellers on a budget, Interrailers and anybody who wants to travel on holidays when TGVs are full. The line to Mulhouse also known to be overcrowded too

Such a shameful decision.

French railways is such an amount of setting false priorities. Spend money on staff for embarquement or better for driving and maintaining the trains? Creating an integrated transportation system or seeing every single train standing alone without connections... 🥲
Running trains or running airplanes?

(As a german, I might say german railways also have lots of problems, ours are different, in Germany it is lot more an infrastructure problem)

Mein Traum wären durchgängige Züge Kiel-Bremen mit 300m Dosto, um den Fahrgastzahlen Herr zu werden. Leider wurden inzwischen schon diverse Bahnsteige an Unterwegsbahnhöfen, die früher mal lang genug waren, gekürzt. :(
