Neither #Mastodon, #Peertube, #Pixelfed, *key, Akkoma nor any #Fediverse software will replace #Twitter, or any centralized service. The Fediverse is a better alternative for those who are fed up with centralized services.
I am grateful to see the Fediverse as a gateway to free and open source social media.
The announcement of Twitter sale to Elon Musk triggered a hype on Mastodon and then the Fediverse.
When I joined mastodon.social on May 2022, it was my first home.
I was even lonely when I was on mastodon.social, I was on first semester in college. That instance was my training ground and I found @atomicpoet, he is a great person who talks about the Fediverse.
At the start of new year, I decided to look for a better instance and, puniland by @puniko was the next instance to join. I was introduced to *key, starting with Foundkey, which enabled me to use Calckey later. Then @koyu .space, which was another Mastodon instance, then I moved back to puniland. I also joined two instances run by @kio, which my alt on kitsunes.club was migrated to @ahriboy.
Hello everyone, this will be the last message before I wrap things up and migrate after MKAB's transition to #Calckey.
MKAB was the introductory instance for me into the World of *key, starting with #Foundkey. @puniko was the one who brought me here starting with my first handle, @zakiuem.
During my journey at MKAB, I've made so many friends.
