I was waiting for this one. Netflix kills the legacy Basic plan and gives you to pick between a shitty ‘with ads’ plan (crowing that you’ll save 35%) or nudging you towards the more expensive Standard.

Fortunately, the child (our only Netflix viewer) has just started watching a lot of iPlayer and for the first time doesn’t care about the propect of losing Netflix. So we will be switching to the ‘no plan’.

So this royal lassie is getting chemo, couple of thoughts:

Normally I'd advocate for absolute respect for someone's privacy, but these aristocratic folk receive public spending that could otherwise be spent on the health services so they can get fucked

I wish they were being more specific than "cancer" because one of the things it's important for people to understand is that that's meaningless at this point

As a cancer patient in their 40s, fuck the royals 👍🏻

    If Apple sticks to their declared intentions, web devs outside the EU won’t be able to test their sites/webapps/whatever against the non-WebKit iOS browsers that will exist in the EU.

    So, get ready for aggressive browser sniffing and “best viewed in/please switch to” badges making a comeback, because those are easy responses to this. Not good responses, at all, but humans are nothing if not lazy.

    @Meyerweb isn’t that the case already?
    Google’s Chrome (or rather Blink) monopoly means websites do that already. Firefox and Safari’s experience being degraded at times and nobody caring isn’t that new 😅

    My ‘s battery capacity is at 76% which is a noticeable degradation; can barely make it through a full day hike 🥲

    Thinking of either getting a replacement battery and iFixit kit or finally upgrading, given that it’s a series 4 😆

    Thing is, I don’t need any of the fancy new feature. I literally use it for sports tracking, checking the time, cooking countdowns, alarms and Apple Pay 🤷‍♂️
