At my work, I wrote #KiMesh, a security mesh generator plugin for #KiCad. A security mesh is a set of labyrinth-like traces covering an area on a #PCB to detect someone drilling or sawing through it. I'm happy to report, that you can now install KiMesh on KiCad nightly through the built-in plugin manager.

A lot of people sure are doing a lot of emotional harm because they don’t understand how blocking works in mastodon. Even technical people you’d expect to know better.

So I can only assume it’s deliberate to justify their feelings of self-righteous outrage and further polarisation.

Unclean data in action: oh, you’ve never met a Nushi? Me either. But this database claims it’s the second most common given name in the world — because it’s Chinese for Miss/Madam

It’s understandable if weird artifacts like this slip in at #3189, but #2? When you subtract the number of “Nushis” from China, there’s only a few hundred people named Nushi in the world. This doesn’t pass the most basic data health check imaginable, but they published it, it ranks highly on google, and doubtless it’s getting cited all over the place.

@bmac I think I might have asked you this before, but if I did, I can't remember the answer... As someone who does a lot of LEGO sets, what do you do with all the boxes? Do you keep them? I'm finally getting through my backlog and I'm trying to convince myself that I don't need to keep all the boxes around, especially since building them in the first place reduces the future value enough that I wouldn't sell it anyway.

oh my god, these two blender viewport options just changed my life

('Shadow' and 'Cavity'. Shadow is good, but Cavity adds an additional layer of legibility, for me. I also recommend Color: Random to differentiate parts.)
