LATE POLL RESULTS!

We've been waiting very loooooong for them as voting on some stations went way overtime (until 3am at one!), and counting the votes is running rather slow, but eventually here they are.

Law and Justice (PiS) - 36.6%, 198 seats
Civic Coalition (KO) - 31.0%, 161
Third Way: 13.5%, 57
New Left: 8.6%, 30
Confederation: 6.4%, 14

Right-wing coalition (PiS + Conf.) = 212 seats
"Total Opposition": 248 seats
German Minority: 1 seat

@abolitionniste @elCelio @kattascha nearly all major Polish media are reporting about the elections, so I thought it should be easy to find one. E.g. look at wp.pl, onet.pl, interia.pl, TVN24.pl, gazeta.pl etc. etc. etc. if you want, I can even give you the PiS-allied sources as well 😂

As back in June, Polish opposition leader Donald Tusk is holding a large rally in support of their fight against the right-wing PiS government.

The rally is called or .

Uninterrupted live coverage is running even on the main TVN channel, free & nationwide on terrestrial TV.

Also on TVN24 and competing Polsat News, which are both paid... but NOT on "public" disInfo. I'm sure they're processing it "accordingly" though...

Did you know Polish authorities ARE censoring Polish Internet?

Try accessing nczas.com - what do you see? I only see an ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH 🙄

Plenty of snapshots at @internetarchive including four from yesterday...

nczas.com presents viewpoints even further right than PiS' - in particular, it is strongly nationalist & anti-Ukrainian. The blockade is apparently imposed by the Agency of Internal Security (ABW).

Another 🙃: the PiS rally started with a 90-second clip showing examples of hate speech of Civic Platform politicians, supporters, and attendees of anti-government protests... full of foul language. Uncensored. And broadcast at 1pm on TV.

And there are children on venue.

An "alternative" rally of PiS is starting in Spodek arena in Katowice. Polsat News is showing images from both events in split-screen, eventually switching audio to the PiS event. They could do this as the march is, well... marching 😆

For , the choice is obvious... well, TVN has made one too. But without TVN's goodwill, 1/3 of Poles who don't pay for TV would NOT be able to see one of these rallies live & uncensored.

Tusk says almost a million people are attending the march. That would be twice the June 4 rally's attendance... which was already one of the largest political gatherings in since 1989 🤯
Also says Roman Dmowski is not his favourite historic figure, because he'd be a PiS' hero. (Dmowski was one of the key persons on top or reborn Poland of 1918, but he was a nationalist...)

Also speaking was Jurek Owsiak of charity, hated & accused of corruption by The Right.

Again, organizers say the total attendance is near a million.

And Tarczyński says is the last bastion where you can go out at 10pm, because in Germany they had to set up an emergency committee on walking in parks.

Guys, can you go out at 10pm? And can you visit your local park? 🙃

Physical radio, using real antennas, picking up real radio waves rather than streaming, with all its quirks, limitations, and occasional anomalies 😲.

Currently my main focus is Sporadic-E propagation, which allows FM radio stations, normally restricted to line-of-sight reach, to travel thousands of km's away ✈️

In autumn/fall & winter, my point of interest shifts even further down - to & bands.

Mediumwave or AM band is actually where the as we know it began 100+ years ago. Lots of people like me got hooked to the hobby by scanning these bands late at night, finding stations from all over Europe of half of the US - and being surprised it works at night only! 🌃

However, is not just FM or digital. There are also several bands down below, offering a range of types of communications - and they're blessed w/ properties FM radio can usually only beg for - continental or even global reach! 🌐

In particular, listening can get you hours of entertainment, world news, exotic programming, and mysteries. Oh, and reliable comms between licenced operators 😅

It's free, and still works when all else fails!

I know it's a looooong way from now but I couldn't resist - and I missed the previous date, which was... 2 days after I finally signed-up for that exam 🤦‍♂️ and when I was doing it it was a Saturday 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Hmm patrząc na pierwszy etap to jestem lekko w szoku.

Dawno tak blisko mnie nie było takiego etapu, ale przebieg miał być zupełnie inny, bo przez Czerniejewo do Miłosławia miało lecieć.

@bobiko @rower @emill1984 jakieś 11-12 lat temu było takie rzadkie wydarzenie jak etap przebiegający przez moją mieścinę 🙈 w ogóle od tego czasu wyścig gościł na Podlasiu może góra 2 razy... a teraz jestem w szoku że Tour de Śląsk i Małopolska 2023 będzie też w Wielkopolsce 😵

Fuck, I got home late for Voice of Turkiye (sic) English news @ 1830z on 5945 kHz... so I now have to look for Turkish TV streams...

So here we go, and I think this is kinda surprising: .83% - 43.36%. That at least according to state-run TRT. Recent polls had been giving a 4%+ lead for the united opposition candidate...

At 1901z, 360 TV finally rejoined coverage from 24 Haber, both zapped here. 360's ad break was very strange; they were interspersing several short ad strings (1 or 2 spots each) with brief station announcements - of course, with opening & closing jingles for each ad string :)
