We've come a long way with Nvidia driver in Linux. After popping the card into my machine, I booted up, sudo apt install nvidia-driver, rebooted, and I'm up and running. Neato!

My mom left me and my sister the house after she passed away.

I have no retirement, I can almost zero savings, but now I have a mortgage that's locked into a low monthly rate and about 300k in equity.

All because my Mom and my Dad invested into our future.

There's an aesthetic that comes with the cyberpunk thing. However, I don't think anyone ACTUALLY wants to live there.

Let's be real, that's a future a lot of us are actively fighting against.

When I was a kid I thought the future was flying cars, now I think the future should be ethically built bicycles. Solar panels and compressed air batteries. High speed rail so good it puts commercial airlines out of business.

We have all these tools already, we've just made a decision not to use them.

It's hard to describe the hype around some open source projects. Often it's the same kind of tool that everyone is used to but you know, this one is open source.

At best it's a free tool vs a paid tool but when it comes to things like web browsers it's hard for a lot of normal people to understand why it's better.

Anyways, i'm using #FlorisBoard and #SayBoard, open source keyboard and speech to text for android right now and they're both pretty rad.

Visiting Long Beach today. One thing I've taken for granted out here I don't have in my new neighborhood are bathrooms. The bathrooms in LA are not the cleanest, but they're vastly superior to the complete utter lack of public restrooms.

Found out that if I send something to the Chromecast in the living room it will turn the TV automatically on.

In my head, I could start a private YouTube live stream, SSH into my home server, start a broadcast to the living room TV when I'm not home and talk to whomevers sitting in front of the couch at the time.

It would be funny to do that to somebody unsuspected.
