(#Art) photographer among other things. I like my cameras broken and my stock grainy. Profile picture is a detail from a series portraying dancer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, performing at former airport Tempelhof, Berlin. The header is an experimental photo of a handmade holidays wreath.

Any experts here? I'm stuck with (what I assume) something rather simple.

I'd like a text box to automatically grow/shrink depending on the amount of text it holds.

Picasso’s , painted after the Luftwaffe bombed civilians as a courtesy to Franco in 1937 because they were Basque and therefor vermin in their eyes. It is on constant display at the United Nations headquarters in New York city.

Back then, every civilized nation expressed outrage at this new form of war, calling it a crime against all of humanity. Times change.

barbara,

@kierkegaank The painting is at the Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid, Spain. A tapestry copy is at the UN HQ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guernica_(Picasso)?useskin=vector#Tapestry_at_the_United_Nations

    @arratoon @AnneBillson Sorry to hijack.

There's a book chain called De Slegte with several locations in Belgium and The Netherlands, see the menu under Alle vestigingen. They sell new and used books, including English, that can be ordered online https://www.deslegte.com/boeken/?q=english

My dad, a dr., was an award-winning photographer, but would never take money for his work. He got his photos in National Geographic calendar and other places, won contests, etc, but wouldn’t take a dime.

I’m going through his photos (he took, developed them himself, start to finish), have to get rid of a ton bc we can’t take them to Canada, 100s of mounted 11x14s. I’ll share some soon.

& if you’re very very good, I’ll also share a pic of me at 19 that he took in London. 😊 Maybe even more.

    barbara,

@GottaLaff See if you can donate them to a local archive or photo museum. They're important, for historical reasons and because they're part of life.

    barbara,

@GottaLaff Excuse me, I missed that.

    barbara,

@GottaLaff No worries, I understand. I was reminded of a similar situation. An acquaintance of mine whose partner, a professional photographer, suddenly passed away. They were able to donate all to a museum the photographer had been connected to.

I'm sad to hear so far a solution has not been found. Hoping you have it sorted soon.

I posted last week about how a firm called Copytrack is claiming I illegally used a photo their client took on my blog

I responded stating no, I took the photo, and gave them the original file inc. EXIF to show it - 6 years earlier than claimant said it was taken

Now they're beginning legal procedures against me!

Digging further I’ve found the pic dated 2009 on Flickr
    https://flickr.com/photos/jonworth-eu/3319581238/in/album-72157615812931134/

And on a 2010 copy of my blog on Wayback
    http://web.archive.org/web/20100317012214/https://jonworth.eu/la-maison-cauchie-charming-on-a-sunday-afternoon-in-brussels/

How much proof do I need? 😡

    barbara,

@jon This is infuriating. Boosting your post to my people. Maybe someone has been in a similar situation and/or can recommended good legal support?
