It has been a great journey: I wrote my first song, bought and learned a new instrument, collaborated on a song with a friend, made a set of bells. All fun stuff. I'm a #British #expat living halfway up a mountain in central #Italy, with my wife, two #dogs (one of whom has cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy) and 15 #cats.

There are times when I despair about the state of the world, of politics and politicians, climate change and the environment, increasing polarisation of society and growing inequality. Probably more. 2/

Downloaded an app that recognises bird songs the other day. This morning it has already identified 27 different bird including a Sardinian Warbler and an Icerine Warbler (both rare), Firecrest, Cirl Bunting, Great Spotted Woodpecker and many more...

I enjoy making #music, mostly #folk, but also electronic versions of some #classicalMusic pieces, and some of my own compositions. I play various instruments mostly #guitar, #mandolin, #melodeon, #stickDulcimer, #keyboard, none especially proficiently but I have fun trying! And I would live to get my hands on a #hurdyGurdy!
