#GuildWars2 multiboxing hurts legitimate players. This needs to stop.
I ran Dragon's End today. Kicked these people when they joined, before we got a map to play on. They were not able to join our instance via squad.
Within about two minutes, a map queue formed. These people running 5-6 accounts EACH maxed out the map's player limit of 60, and made it so legitimate players could not join and have fun. They waited in queue for an HOUR.
Seven people could not join our fresh map and have fun.
If you happen to still have a Twitter account, I would very much appreciate any help boosting this post. Decided to bring it up over there too and the discussion is gaining traction.
More eyeballs means more chance of this problem actually getting fixed.
Update: this incident went a little viral? Teapot boosted this on Twitter and did a stream where he tried to find leeches on EU. Glad to see the issue get more visibility.
I also got a few other commanders reaching out to offer suggestions on ways to avoid leeches while we wait for ArenaNet to figure their shit out, which was GREATLY appreciated. We ran DE today and had zero leeches.
This isn't over yet, but at least ingame it's at least playable.
I am very bad at #Linux. Installing, setting up my audio mixer, troubleshooting sound, and getting Guild Wars 2 up and running took about five hours. Still have a lot to learn but I'm extremely happy with the result so far.
Went with #Fedora#Nobara at the recommendation of a friend. It was fairly painless :D
@garpu
Awesome, thank you! Gonna attempt to get marker packs and OpenRGB working before raid tonight.
One major difference in getting setup on Linux vs Windows is how well-documented everything is. Taking control of my MMO mouse with piper reminded me a bit of hacking my 3DS.
@bass LOL Yeah, pretty much. I haven't used GW2 with addons. Honestly, I don't raid. I got my fill with WoW, and just never felt the need to get back into that mindset.
My latest step in moving as much of my tech to #OpenSource software as possible was switching from Paprika Recipe Manager to Broccoli on #fdroid. I tried to import the recipes from Paprika's HTML export that I hosted on Github Pages, but it didn't work. Spent 2 hours manually importing about 100 recipes I've collected over the years.
@bass I don't understand why they touched Scourge and absolutely took it out of WvW. It was fine where it was. Now I'm going to have to play support chrono or heal tempest (only have legendary armor right now for light armor).
@bass as someone that's disassembled like a lot of Nintendo hardware, people forget that the guitar hero guitar is just plastic and the Wii balance board has a fucking aluminum frame inside it
Spent today replacing Linux Mint with Pop OS. Graphics drivers got really messed up at some point so I'm using that as an excuse to try something a little different. Feels nice so far!
@bass I'm not doing SSF this go-round, but if I was I would have still had options this league. I also got a connection omen and have gotten a few of the scarabs that make Black Morrigan show up on your map if you have Einhar. It feels like both are way more accessible than they ever were before.
@belghast Yeah I've heard about those bestiary scarabs! Increasing 6-link access is going to make it much easier to run a version of your build that feels great to play.
@bass@pixel That is where I signed up for an account, took a bit to get approved. Uploads were prodigiously slow however so sort of take that into account.
Mageblood is cheap this league, so I set myself the goal of farming one. Bought it today for 105div! #PathOfExile
The most fun part of setting my build up around it was rolling my flasks. For now, I'm using Quartz Granite Silver & Quicksilver with suffixes granting armor, cast speed, life regen, and bleed/corrupted blood immunity. Some of it will definitely change as I continue to upgrade my build.
@crapknocker
Relative to past leagues, yes. At this point in 3.22, it was 359. 3.23 was 186, which makes sense since Affliction was a magic find league. More supply means price goes down generally.
A similar trend is happening this league. They added 5 new map bases for tier 17. They're quite hard, but have insane quant/rarity if you can handle them. If you can juice and MF in them, you can print a lot of stuff.
I am streaming again! You might've seen me active in your notifications. Moving is now done, and I can get back to cursing your notification feeds with my bullshit. YAY!
I've configured a bot to automatically post and ping everyone in my Discord server whenever I go live. http://discord.gg/NmCaNR4
I'm not sure how to make this work on Mastodon. If anyone has ideas, let me know!
Choose your preferred video player! Ads suck, and it's easier to block ads on YouTube. The volume of ads was enough to get me off of Twitch entirely since they didn't allow multistreaming. However, they've changed that! You can now watch my stream on both Twitch and YouTube. Archived streams are available immediately on YouTube's Live tab.
No schedule! Streaming is my hobby, and I want to keep it that way forever. I am wholly uninterested in growth or making a profit, so not having a schedule is the best way to keep this fun for me.
