So, here it goes: since I was told I was dying and there's nothing they could do about it, I've been researching like crazy with the help of my best friend.

We have found a nephrologist that is willing to take a chance on my case but they are in British Columbia - which is a flight away. She wants to do the initial assessment in person, but from my labs and such, she is confident she can take me on. The hospital in B.C. was so gracious and is paying for our flight. We need to find accommodation, which means a cheaper motel or hotel. Because I'm considered terminally ill, none of my doctors want me to see people outside of my personal bubble.

If everyone could help me do research on where there's cheap accommodation around Victoria, British Columbia. I need lots of help in that regard to price compare.

We are in an emergency with our rent because I was on a ventilator for 2 days and unable to call places to ask for help or post here. I’m terminally ill but working toward a second opinion from one of Canada’s top kidney specialists. I’ll post more about that later.

We need rent like asap in order to make sure my grandma and caregiver are both housed while I’m in hospital and need somewhere to home to when I’m done here.

I hate when people say to me ‘you’re pretty for a Black girl.’ What’s wrong with society? Black women are beautiful. Black women are precious. Our souls are perfect.

We have been through so much (I’m feminine non-binary) as Black women that we deserve to be happy, loved and accepted. Saying black women aren’t beautiful harms a lot of our mental health.

I am no longer eligible for my kidney transplant because of recurring infections. Without the transplant, I will die. They have put me on palliative care for pain control and will do dialysis until I’m too sick.

HELP ME GET A MATTRESS THAT WILL SAVE MY LIFE ($282/4593)
On May 28, I’m going for a kidney transplant due to chronic kidney disease. One of my biggest problems right now is that I have extreme bed sores and was just started on home IV antibiotics tonight as they’re worried about the infection going to my blood.
