cannedtuna,

Joseph Flannery, a 7th grade Social Studies teacher, admitted he’s looking forward to his deployment.

“I’m in my late 50s and I’m sad to admit I get winded walking from my car to my classroom, but I thought about it and I can either get shot in a war overseas or I can get shot by some active shooter while I do a lesson about the Revolutionary War,” said Flannery.

Fucking gold.

cannedtuna,

Might read past the headline.

Another “very drunk” woman was filmed rubbing her behind against the screen, while a different video shows a man

One person on the Irish side went as far as to show the New Yorkers images of 9/11 on his phone

Probably wasn’t the only time. People generally being people is probably why they shut it down.

cannedtuna,

Maybe they’re just really in to parking in Lot R 🤷‍♂️

cannedtuna,

Pretty sure it’s meant to be more artistic than realistic

cannedtuna,

The only fault? Dude shoulda made it look like a hobbit hole, it wouldn’t have stayed up a day on the market.

cannedtuna,

There’s a version that’s more of a sliding bar that’s a lot more common nowadays. You see them in updated hotels.

out of nowhere this happened. (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

An intricate tapestry depicting the epic battle between Greek gods and Titans, complete with fire-breathing dragons, glowing swords, and mountains of rubble,(dramatic lighting, extremely beautiful:1.4),(intricate details, masterpiece, best quality:1.4),realistic, lora:xl_more_art-full_v1:0.5 lora:add-detail-xl:1...

cannedtuna,

Looks pretty cool from a distance, up close tho what the hell is going on lol

cannedtuna,

This doesn’t address your issue specifically because I haven’t tried personally to use wireguard on my home server. Personally however I’ve been using Tailscale to connect to my home network remotely for DNS redirects through Pihole and to connect to my self-hosted services. I found Tailscale pretty easy to setup. If you can’t get Wireguard figured out you might give it a look as an alternative.

cannedtuna,

I mean yeah, that’s a probably part of it. The latest Outlook and Teams app is a privacy nightmare. Plus there’s ads, but sadly that’s nothing new with Windows. It’s also a continuation of their push for SaaS, pushing their subscription services like One Drive and O365. They also really want you to use their App Store to buy software.

cannedtuna,

Wtf was even the idea behind even making the source picture??? Fucking bizarre

cannedtuna,

Wild. Thanks for the follow up

cannedtuna,

Thanks for responding to this. That does make sense. I really enjoy this app, I think it’s better than most of the right now so I’m in favor of supporting the development. $30 is a lot to stomach though, but I do see where you’re coming from.

cannedtuna,

That’s a big hell no

cannedtuna,

Dude those little cups just don’t taste the same without the wooden spoon

cannedtuna,

How does it compare to Starfarers? Is it similar or something different?

cannedtuna,

Looking at Star Trek Catan, it looks like a themed Catan but with Support cards, which is a great addition to the game. Not sure if there’s anything I’m missing since I haven’t played it. I’ll have to give it a try, and I could probably get my parents to give it a go since it’s Star Trek themed.

Starfarers personally is my favorite. It’s very different from regular Catan. First difference is your map is longer a perfect hexagon and is a bit bigger. You start at the bottom of the map on your starting planets and you have 2 colonies and 2 colony ships like you do in Star Trek. You don’t however have to build “roads”, instead you have a rocket you shake and move your ships according to the result of the shake plus added speed for boosters on your ship. You can spend resources to add more boosters, or guns, or cargo crates to your ship for better bonuses.

You can explore planets and see if you like the resources it has and settle them. You can also build trade ships that let you dock with alien trading outposts to acquire those Support cards you have in Star Trek.

The thing that really makes the game stand out however is the event deck. On some rolls you trigger random events involving alien species you can trade with, or attacks by pirates, or black holes you discover. Planets you explore may also have pirate bases you have to clear before you can settle the planet, or the planet may be frozen and require terraforming.

I really enjoy it, and the 5-6 player expansion handles the added players well by making 2 opposite people take turns simultaneously.

Definitely recommended.

cannedtuna,

Nah. Leave it dark. Don’t give the content back unless you can remove it all except a message that says your on Lemmy now

cannedtuna,

So it appears y’all do your own designs? I own the DRG board game and I know they made the STL files available, but your figures appear to be unique.

cannedtuna,

That all sounds really cool
