That’s not exactly what happened.

Aaron committed suicide before his case went to trial, and so he was never convicted let alone sentenced. 35 years was never even likely; had it gone to trial there’s every reason to think he’d have been acquitted outright, or at worst given a slap on the wrist. Not that he should have even been charged, of course.

It goes on to say that they did this in public while recording themselves.

Destabilizing the system is the point. Trump is just the tool.

Most people, I think, don’t even know what a rootkit is, so why should they care about it?

It’s an older reference, sir, but it checks out.

For some reason this specific graphic has always been one of my favorite parts of this movie.

Not a bot. But also not an idiot, which is the target audience here.

Rudy Guliani Blows Past the $43,000 Budget He Committed to in Bankruptcy Proceedings (www.nytimes.com)

That amount would cover, among other expenses, $5,000 in alimony payments to his ex-wife Judith Giuliani, $1,050 for food and housekeeping supplies and $425 for “personal care products and services.” He was also obliged to cover $13,500 in monthly nursing-home expenses for his former mother-in-law; she died in March....

I mean I like them both, but together?

Not only is it normalized, but it’s being weaponized. See, for example, the recent XZ backdoor which was equal parts hacking and a psi-op against the maintainer.

“He would say things similar to that on occasions to blow off steam. But I wouldn’t take them literally every time he did it,” Mr Barr said, adding: “At the end of the day, it wouldn’t be carried out and you could talk sense into him.”

So either we’re counting on people to refuse the president’s orders, or we’re hoping the Trump is more mature than he lets on?

How about not electing people who would even entertain such an idea in the first place?

Normalizing political violence will inevitably, and possibly literally, blow up in your own face.

Has ethernet become illegitimate? A librarian flipped out after spotting me using ethernet

I plugged into ethernet (as wifi w/captive portal does not work for me). I think clearnet worked but I have no interest in that. Egress Tor traffic was blocked and so was VPN. I’m not interested in editing all my scripts and configs to use clearnet, so the library’s internet is useless to me (unless I bother to try a tor...

Does the library provide ethernet jacks for patrons to use? If not then I can understand why a librarian would be surprised.

I haven’t been having any major problems except for occasional framerate stuttering, but then I don’t use that many mods.

My only real complaint is that there’s really no new story content, it’s just a couple of new locations (Enclave checkpoints like FO3) some new armor and weapon types, and a handful of quests that are pretty much radiant quests with a coat of Enclave paint. Considering the download was like 10GB I was expecting more. If Google is telling me the truth, that’s bigger than all the other DLC combined.

There’s a quest where you find a ghoul child locked in a refrigerator on the side of the road (it’s implied he’s been in there since the war). You have the option of selling him to a named member of the gunners.

charonn0,
@charonn0@startrek.website avatar

That’s from FO4. I don’t think it appeared in any other game.
