It's so weird watching The Dropout – a TV series about Theranos and Elizabeth Holmes – while also watching OpenAI and Sam Altman happen IRL. :blobcat0_0:
Wondering who's going to play Sam Altman in the series about the implosion of OpenAI. 🤔
I've been a happy user of Nothing audio for years. I've had a pair of Nothing Ear(1), which I replaced with a Nothing Ear(2) when one of the earbuds broke, and then I even got their Nothing Phone (actually my current phone). It's, basically, the brand I've felt more loyalty towards for literal decades.
So when two days ago I stepped over one of the earphones and cracked the plastic shell, I was sure I was going to get a new pair.
Long story short, I've been just checking their site, looking for the name and price of their last model, and saw this:
And... fuck this shit. Fuck it with a flamming iron rod. You were making some awesome, high-quality and more or less cheap, earphones, you were doing so good, but you had to integrate this earth-burning snake oil on your product? fuck it. I won't pay for any fucking hardware integrated with that nightmare.
So long story short:
Any recommendation for some good bluetooth earphones? No apple products, but anything else I'm willing to consider.
But he /also/ “won’t know how” to make your rfc1918 addresses routable destinations from the internet & he’s not paid to be nice to you, so, good luck w/ that.
my very dear friend’s very dear dog, Leo, needs surgery.
if you have both the desire and means to help, every little bit is dearly appreciated. sharing and spreading the word is also a huge help!
my personal favorite Leo story is when my friend was picking up some groceries for me while i was sick (she’s the best person I know). she came to drop them off, along with a burger from our favorite spot for lunch. Leo was fine giving up the groceries, but the burger was a step too far. that was his burger.
@siracusa if a window appears/overlaps the space where switchglass is, as in the attached screenshot.
in this case, i would prefer switchglass to auto-hide to make room for the window, but to appear if i moused over where it was (like how auto-hide works now).
if there were no overlapping windows, it would just stay visible all the time.
@mwop oooh, thanks. one of the reasons i opted for Logseq’s sync was i needed to sync to iOS, and didn’t want to use iCloud. sadly, iOS restrictions mean that there are relatively few cloud/sync providers that will work at all, and of the ones that do, Logseq doesn’t always play nice. but i hadn’t heard of/considered Nextcloud.
are you self hosting or using a third party provider? if the latter, do you mind sharing which one?
@mwop do you mind explaining how you set up Syncthing? i use Syncthing for other things, but AFAIK they don't have an app that has a way to provide a document provider/Files app integration, so there isn't any way for Logseq or other apps to "see" the Syncthing folder.
@mwop so, i grabbed the pro version of mobs. told it to sync a folder inside Logseq’s sandbox folder On My iPhone. created a graph in there, and pointed both my phone & laptop at it—it worked!
thank you so much for this. i had no idea that mobius could do that. i’d been using the free version and i guess that i never saw that “pro” feature.
i’ll have to play around to find out the best sync/edit/sync workflow, but i’m sure i can work something out!
A pair of spells that forms a basic framework for information sharing. When a magic-user casts Record Shared Spell, the next spell that they cast is captured for distribution. Another magic-user can cast the a version Retrieve Shared Spell associated with the original magic-user to receive a copy of whatever spell was captured.
