Do people understand the impact ChatGPT can have on how we control our software? No more hunting through menus among a thousand options to figure out how to do something. Just use natural human language. The UIs we've had to design and live with will be a thing of the past. Yet no one seems to be talking about this.

based on my experience with programming with chatgpt -- it hasn't gotten it wrong yet.

i use it the way i used to use google and stack exchange.

it's much faster, and allows me to use tech that i'm relatively new at using.

i wish i had had this when i was writing the SQL code in my latest product, for example.

but i wouldn't let it write the code for me, i always adapt the code it gives me,

but then i don't like self-driving feature of my tesla.

Good that @Morning_Joe opened the show with the appalling story of The Worst Justice (tough competition) displaying the insurrectionist (anarchist) symbol at his house (and blaming it on his wife, blaming it in turn on a neighbor's yard sign). This Court is ruined.

Pretty sure I understand what Jack Dorsey was saying about his disappointment with Bluesky. The mistake they made at Twitter was taking responsibility for enforcing decorum, which is completely diseconomic. A fully decentralized system is very different.

i think the way to go is to start a new platform that supports all of the features of textcasting, does it as part of its stated mission, and then build from there. and let some of the features filter back into this layer of the social web.

at least that's the approach i'm taking. ;-)
