Fighting off the loneliness blues tonight - could use some cheering up. This single disabled introvert queerdo has trouble building friendship networks at the best of times, but it feels like ALL the friends I thought I'd made since I moved to this town a decade ago have either moved away, gotten sick, decided to live in blissfully willful COVID ignorance, or become full-on fake-news zombies. LOL I can't be the only weirdo who feels like they can only handle one Big Game at a time? Like, I see so many folks leap easily from game to game, or even keep up a lively level of activity on multiple games, while I feel like I can barely keep up with one? As I continue to get my gut back up to speed after the most recent nastiness, I am reviewing my daily food habits for ones I'm willing/able to ditch or modify.

Like legumes - too important to my diet for so many reasons, but amenable to fixes to make them less stressful; and coffee, which is a gut irritant but I'll fight to keep it (plus it does help my messed up liver). 1/?

The minute I learned Azandar is so majorly into tea, I made a note to take him over to Northern Elsweyr, just to see how he responded to this one delve quest to go pick gourmet tea leaves for Nisuzi. But alas, not a peep out of Old Zan about any of the tea we picked and delivered, let alone a rapport bump. I am disappoint! 😸

I am coming to the conclusion that my elderly Win10 box is simply too underpowered for the things I want to do (like streaming/recording/playing big games). I am lacking in cashflow and patience when it comes to shopping for computers but I guess I'll at least take a look. 😄

Sigh. The friend-with-$$$ has gifted me a gorgeous duvet with cover, saying "oh it'll be so much easier to make your bed." It turns out to be heavier, hotter, and more difficult to move than the old smelly sleeping bag I was using, and I'll need assistance changing the cover to wash it. NOT disabled-friendly. Par for the course with this friend sadly, who does not get that decorator-think is often not disabled-friendly. (1/thread)

The further I escape from paid employment, the more I realize how intensely I was masking in order to fit my head into that work-shaped hole, to the point where now I have rebound reactions to dealing with anything even faintly resembling a business interaction. I can't even navigate an automated phone system these days without feeling my brain start to scream inside.

Move prep update: I had a total of three able-bodied friends drop by this weekend to help, and between all our efforts I now feel like I've got some 90% of the packing done. I still have to box up my old desktop computer, and pack the desk drawer etc. crap ... and then I think I'll just have the few items I need to keep out to feed and clothe myself until actual Move Day next week, at which point I'll pitch those last items in the go-bag and cruise!

Ow. CrankyBod<tm> is cranked the F out this evening. Lower back and hips have joined right foot/ankle in hating on this moving boxes of crap around. And here I thought I was improving.
