Well-meaning able-bodied neurotypical "helpers" firing off rapid-fire questions at me like "do you want this? How about this? Or this? Just tell us what you need" but not giving my neurospicy brain space to react, till I have to interrupt crying "please STOP!! so I can even think enough to form words, let alone figure out what I need-- and wait I didn't tell you to do THAT, give me a moment PLEASE!"

I swear, just now a "helper" tried to move the container I'd just set down within easy arm reach to put it back in the out-of-reach spot I'd just moved it from because they thought it was awkwardly balanced. I literally had to grab it out of their hand and put it back where I wanted it - and they even tried to question me about it! Arrggg!!!

If you didn’t know, mulberries grow on trees. This tree (foreground) sprang up from nowhere a year or two ago and is absolutely huge. (I did not plant the tree and have not seen any mulberries in the area. No idea how it ended up here).

@Melezioh My childhood home had a couple of big mulberry trees in its yard. The windfall berries would stain the ground purple, and then ferment, and then the bluejays would get into them and start behaving like avian drunken fratboys. 🤣

@mike My old shirts have faded slowly and gracefully, but a newer demand-printed shirt is a semi-legible mess in less than a year. I probably won't remember to turn shirts inside out but I sure will remember to stick to buying properly screen printed tees in future. 😅

If I had smell-o-vision, I would also upload the delightful fragrance of newly mown grass, as the park rolls out its maintenance gear to keep up with the landscaping.

A tree-lined riverside bike path on a bright sunny day. The noontime sun casts dappled shadows under the well-leafed trees, and the river is a lovely blue-green. The sky has a bit of gauzy haze but is otherwise clear blue.

Wifey asked her mom last night what she’d prefer to do for Mother’s Day and gave her a few options (lunch, bookstore trip, coffee, etc).

I celebrated today's summer-ish weather by hanging out on my porch all afternoon making this. I have no idea what this granny square will eventually become - that depends partly on how many more squares I can squeeze out of this stash of odds and ends of cotton yarn I'm using up. I'm less into the destination and more into the relaxing journey with this project TBH. And the rainbows. There will be variations on the rainbows, that I've already decided. 🌈

Scenes from a porch on a sunny spring day. The wind is impressively gusty as this warm weather moves into the valley.

A rather scraggly little garden plot, upper section in sun, the rest in shade. In the sun are a few small herb plants and a tiny redleaf lettuce; mostly in the shade are about ten little strawberry plants. The garden fades out to equally scraggly lawn in the upper left corner.

A member of a Discord I help moderate, who when I moderated her as she was upsetting a disabled member with her unempathetic argumentation, sent me a long defensive DM demanding to know why what she said was "wrong" and why is it not okay to question a disabled person about their disability needs, just posted she's received training as a DSP and is looking for clients. I feel like I want to send out DANGER WILL ROBINSON warnings to all my local disabled friends. 🤯

I was tricked by Ghirardelli! 😠

After I put what I believed to be white chocolate chips into my cookies, I looked at the label and noticed that it just says "white chips". Checked the ingredients and ... no cocoa butter. These are palm oil and milk solids with vanilla and sugar.

It's on me for not reading carefully, but in my defense, the word "chocolate" is right there ... just in the Ghirardelli logo. 😡

Just before I snapped this photo, a whole bridal party emerged from the archway after evidently posing for pictures in the rain. It's a popular park for that, though I would have advised planning for rain for any outdoor stuff here in the Pacific Northwest.
