@schwa @woolie I meant discourse, the swift forum software (among others). Teams, Discord etc. suck on the web but they have iOS escape hatches (this is even true for Slack, Destroyer of RAM)

SwiftUI is vexing me greatly. Making a view for a list selection, which could be nil (nothing selected):
@State private var selection: MyThing? = nil

I can not for the life of me figure out how to get a Toggle to work with the Bool properties in MyThing. At best I get the Toggle set correctly, but as a read-only value. Xcode has frustratingly vague warnings sometimes.

    This is an important point also for open source projects: If you are making something that other people rely on, you are in some way morally responsible for it. You donโ€™t only get to take the fun/good parts and then when things become difficult throw up your hands in the air.

    I was excited to realise that I'd met Samantha Bรฉart, the actor who plays Karlach - my favourite character in Baldur's Gate 3 - eleven years ago.

    Turns out they also played Random Dent in the Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and I got the cast to sign my script book when the live show came through Glasgow.

    Sadly the photographic evidence is somewhat blurry, but that's on brand given the single very blurry photo I have of me meeting Douglas Adams.
