I needed something to store files for my condo associations (clients). Stuff like their condo docs, financial reports, etc. I first started with Dropbox but they don't really let you share publicly so I would have had to get an account for every client (expensive)

Nextcloud is way more flexible but SLOW AF unless I guess you throw a giant expensive server at it and who wants to do that

I'm using inotifywait (Linux built in program) on my laptop to watch the directory I store all the files locally. When anything changes, inotifywait calls a 20 line bash script

Hey the Rad has a weird clunking sound when pedaling. It sounds/feels like it's coming from the left pedal/crank. It doesn't happen always. It also doesn't seem to do it at the beginning of the ride - twice now it's waited until about a half mile in before it starts

Life hack that I learned from one of my professors long time ago. 20 years later, I still follow the advice.

When sending a file attachment to someone else, include your name in the file, and additional info too.

e.g. Instead of assignment1.txt do: mariatta_assignment1_cmpt123.txt

This helps them when the recipient needs to download similar file from various people.

I do this now when I upload files too, eg

Mariatta_Resume_for_CompanyX.pdf
mariatta_personalized_pricelist_for_you.pdf
etc
