So… if they’re gonna dump staff who’re trying to unionize. I have my music sitting on computers in my house, 400GB in Apple lossless, I have a fast Internet connection (firewalled of course), I wanna be able to do “shuffle all songs” or "shuffle Miles Davis" while I’m driving or walking around out in the world.

Anyone out there actually done this? [Don’t wanna be rude but would prefer to avoid answers of the “this should work” flavor.]

NUC BIOS: nice Samsung 980pro ssd you got there. Here’s the specific model and speed. Nice.

Windows in the same NUC, eating crayons as per normal: herp derp no SSD here get lost.

The Mac tax is present on windows you just pay it to your IT people in time and frustration.

Added how many kms we have left on our EV RUCs to our website and the kitchen dashboard.

Now if only Waka Kotahi had an API that I could auto reorder RUCs when the car needs them, we'd be set like jelly

Finally caved and bought a new TV. Old was a 2013-era 720p 32” Sony. New one is “Smart” 43” 4K TCL. $500 from Costco

It will never be on the network. It’s a dumb panel for the Apple TV.

So far so good. ECE appears to work (power on/off, volume). Has a “basic” mode which disables GoogleTV. Can tell it to start on previous port. Headphone out for our Tivoli

And yes TCL had a security thing. But without wifi or Ethernet that’s not really an issue.

According to a wonderfully Sparkley Op(erator), if you add these to pihole or similar the TCL can’t do its tracking thing

So that’s a good backup
