Was discussing the neighbor's insistence that the gardeners kill everything yesterday ("they nuked the yard with Roundup" I said) and now my son is getting Roundup ads on Facebook. Yesterday, I mentioned one of my kids' names (which is very close to a brand) and that brand is being advertised to him, too. (I deleted Facebook long ago and will never load it or any of its software, because of that creepy snooping). I guess his generation just assumes they are being listened to all the time...

Only Fat Squirrel 1 & 2 are manning the rail this morning, with community bird group taking advantage of some sort of buggy feast in the clover pockets on the front lawn. Nice and cool open doors morning. May go foraging for new reading materials downstairs, but am probably on kitchen detail this morning with some sort of clear soup that will take advantage of the ridiculously large bok choy the grocery people substituted for “baby bok Choi”. Have a GREAT Saturday!

I took Dory for a walk at the local park I like, then hit the Farmer’s Market. Will be planting a few things and enjoying as much sunshine outdoors as I possibly can.

I missed the aurora last night. What’s the odds we may have another shot tonight? I’m thinking not.

Only two fat squirrels on the side deck rail this morning, with a chirpy Cardinal couple and tiny finches on the deck in clean up spot. Did get family pics hung, now have to move to the guest bedroom and office with paintings. The downstairs stairwell will become a main painting gallery of sorts, which will leave the downstairs for future collecting. Happy thoughts. Have a GREAT Saturday everyone!

@BakerRL75 @czarbucks @amyedge @AE4WX @Jennifer @ai6yr I’m recovering from an adventure of sorts. I brushed t’Chat last night. She got overstimulated and bit me on the arm, puncturing the skin.

We’ve learned the hard way that you do NOT mess with cat bites. 80% of cats (even indoor and vaccinated) carry disease that can cause serious damage. I was bitten 2 years ago and my arm ballooned up before we knew what was happening.

Called my PCP at 7PM (she answered) who called in Augmentin to the pharmacy and hit the pharmacy before they closed so I could get in the first dose. All OK this morning! We caught it in time.

The problem as I see it is this:

According to the USADA, farmers are supposed to be screening out cows with H5N1 so that sick cows are not being milked. The fact that viral particles (even dead ones!) are in our milk supply means that there are a a much larger number of ill cows out there than was previously known. The more ill cows, the more this virus replicates, the more it spreads the more it mutates. The more birds and mammals affected, including humans. And so on and so on.
