Some of you may have noticed a change in artwork with my latest Elektro* release.

In the past, I used #Dall-E2 to generate amusing artwork for tracks. It was fun while it lasted, but for ethical reasons I've now decided to stop using #AI tools for generating cover art. From now on it'll be groovy abstract digital art I've generated myself.

I'm currently reading Blake Gopnik's biography of Andy Warhol. Fascinating book. But it does confirm my belief that art in the 21st century really needs to be released from the grip of the gatekeepers, collectors, and academics.

The tools and means of distribution for many artforms in the digital space are now available for anyone, essentially for free.

Let's take a page from punk history: "Now form a band".

My quest to plow through all the #StarWars movies continues. Watched "Rise of Skywalker" last night and frankly thought it was the best of the last trilogy. Mind you, I thought Eps 7-9 were all peachy keen. I don't see what all the fuss and drama was about.

Next up: "Solo". 😬

I've long been skeptical of the whole Star Wars franchise (from Return of the Jedi onward, in fact). However I gotta admit that I quite enjoyed The Mandalorian (although it slumps somewhat in Season 3 - that finale tho!!), and Rogue One (watched recently in anticipation of Andor).

The whole thing is derivative as fuck, but also on the whole hugely entertaining.

Don't expect Godard, Kubrick, or even Spielberg. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.
