I just finished rereading The Gathering Storm, or Book 12 of The Wheel of Time, and after watching Episode 7 of the TV show and seeing the visceral interactions between Egwene and Renna, I’m reminded of this line from the book during the Seanchan raid at the White Tower:

“Each faceless Seanchan that Egwene struck down seemed to be Renna in her mind’s eye. [...]
This raid had to cost them.”

Hopefully the TV series will realize this long-term payoff seeded in Ep7.

What’s up with paper sizes used in the Philippines. Short? Long? Short is more or less the Letter size in most printers. But Long (8.5 x 13). Not available in printers unless I make a custom size setting.

Evan Edinger did a quasi-reaction video on Johnny Harris's metrication video and I commented about how we still use both systems (imperial and metric) in the Philippines. It seems the bit about U.S. paper sizes (vs. the A4 system) blew some people's minds.

I want to develop a gay hookup app as an alternative to Grindr. Then I'm gonna build a business around it. Then I'm gonna sponsor a tad lot of queer events in the country. I want to do all of this just so I could pay someone to "hack" my app and "leak" profiles of politicians in the closet who act like a bitch ass homophobe once they get elected. Hell, if I was the CEO of Grindr, that's what I'd do to US politicians.
