Is it just me, or has Microsoft gone completely crazy? They are implementing spyware that takes screenshots every second and forcing AI integration. Why would anyone willingly purchase this? Anyone with experience in computer or information security knows that it is a bad idea, even if it is locally done. Just don't do it. @tippfehlr @JorisMeys @nixCraft opening a webbrowser to surf is one thing. As soon as you need something outside of that (e.g. getting your photos, documents etc), it really depends on the person. I lost count how many times I had to explain how to send a mail with a attachment through the gmail interface (on Mint, and MacOS). Then any interface is hard, and the Linux desktops are not necessarily easier.

In sommige applicaties werkt ctrl-alt-shift-v ook wel, maar ze zijn zelf niet consequent.

@kamme funny enough, it just happened again today.

  • <alert> "URL is down - socket timeout"
  • Alert is acknowledged, comment refers to a ticket number.
  • checking the ticket "server is OK, <insert uptime check, insert df check>"
  • ticket is closed

Alert is still there... but acknowledged so no notifications are sent anymore... 🤷

During lunch a friend mentioned that you can just supply a HTTP URL to vim on the command line and it would use curl to download that resource and allow you to edit the content. I jokingly asked whether if you enter :w it would then issue a HTTP POST back to the origin which is of course ridiculous.

It issues a PUT
