I was wondering how long it takes Netflix to announce publicly whether a show has been renewed or cancelled. Seems it’s usually about a month after the previous season’s release.
These attacks should be treated as terrorism and investigated as such, and if the filth are too busy doing fuck all, use MI5. And jail those guilty for several decades. #NHS
Remember the Steven Sinofsky memoir about his time at Microsoft heading the Windows and Office teams that was being released as a SubStack newsletter? It's now available as a Kindle book, and will be available in paper in July.
I've watched Geek Girl three times. It's basically a 3-hour film when you remove the credits from the 10 episodes.
I'm not done watching it yet…
As I have said before. When I get into something, I really get into it. Not a lot of half-measures in my cultural consumption. Which may or may not be ironic, given the underlying subject matter of this particular show.
I've been thinking of starting a new #GhostIO newsletter as a guide to encourage more women, PoC, creatives, activists, social entrepreneurs, etc. to join #Mastodon. You know, my people from the other place.
Problem is: I can't come up with a clever name for it. Out of desperation I've turned to:
The prompt I used was “What would be a good social media and newsletter name based on the concept of “a sea change”. The aim is to encourage people using Twitter/X to switch to Mastodon.“
I wonder if the publicity picture for Pachinko Season 2 is Koreans watching the Nagasaki atomic blast. It’s only 270 km (170 miles) from Busan to Nagasaki.
It pleases me that I can watch my current favourite band ‘live’ on the same day 42 years after seeing my all time favourite band live for the first time (Queen live in Milton Keynes, 5th June 1982).
This past weekend I learned - the hard way - that if you don’t keep your Apple Pencil charged, it suffers what’s called “deep discharge” and essentially dies. You can’t charge it, and it’s bricked.
Supposedly you can bring them back to life sometimes by warming them slightly (like on a heating pad) but that didn’t work for me.
Have I mentioned how much I like the Netflix Geek Girl adaptation?
I think I must have.
It’s fab. Two episodes to go. I hope it has enough viewers to trigger a second season. 😊
Also, read the books. They are brilliant. If you think you are not in the target demographic, just ignore that. They are brill stories and have characters from teens to pensioners. I reread all six last year. Bloody marvellous 😊
