I am having a difficult time visioning 5 years from now, what I want to do and then how to get there.

Some of this is due to the chaos of the last few years, but I also think it could be a challenge due to #AuDHD

Also I am 42 so midlife stuff?

To prove I'm not totally immature, (mostly, not totally) I must say that Cornell University has developed two really great apps for bird watching. I've only had Merlin and eBird installed for a few days and I've already learned so much. Simple, yet well-implemented tech goes a long way! #BirdsArentReal

NEUROSPICY TRIBE! How do you deal with the change in seasons? I simultaneously love and hate back to school time because I'm not over my depression from the hot weather and lax routine of summer before the chaos and new schedules for the kids cause me panic.

Somebody else made a mistake (and ignored a checklist that could have prevented that), so now my mind is spinning because maybe it's my fault, perhaps I should have done the before-thing better (the thing that needed listening carefully to people talking... yeah...), probably I should do more, and for sure somebody will be mad at me.

Rhetorical question: Will it cost me the whole Monday of energy? (Let's hope not?)

Think I'm going to challenge myself to put together a little limited game prototype.

Give myself like a week to make something. Doesn't need to be fully polished, but should have graphics, sound, and be playable.

That kind of pressure should ensure I get it done and it'll help me get a bit more comfortable with a sort of workflow and I can transfer those habits to my adventure game.

Let's see what I can slap together by next Saturday. (I'm not going to be able to start today... and maybe not tomorrow either)

Something I've found with myself as an #autistic person is that I've been misinterpreted so much in the past, that I now communicate in an overly-specific manner to avoid being taken the wrong way.

And therefore I come across to others as "pretentious" for using long, specific words where most people would choose something simple.

Have any other autistic people found the same thing?
