So here is a thing I am missing in spite of all my cookbooks: recipes to cook in a !

I got one (metal, not earthenware, since I have an induction stove), but I don't have any vegetarian recipes to cook in it.

Recipe recs? I'm pretty adventurous but here also missing the basics.

Fediverse disclaimer: Please real recipes not a "I just throw whatever I have in the fridge in". And please recipe recs and not recs for where to look things up 😊

Aan de ene kant is het jammer dat er op Mastodon niet veel gepost wordt over de conferentie danwel . Aan de andere kant ben ik nu gewoon de hele tijd met allemaal mensen aan het praten in plaats van op mijn telefoon te zitten. (En ik kan later wel wat highlights posten.)

Did you notice that research is more prominent in the media than research on ? Why is this the case?

This question sparked the first publication of Aike Vonk's PhD project with her advisors Erik van Sebille and Mark Bos - and it was my pleasure to join their team.

Our study shows that research organisations communicate about ocean plastic research with more elaborate framing, compared to ocean climate change research. Press releases on ocean plastic research more often contextualized the research by addressing problems, identifying causes, proposing solutions, and providing moral evaluations.

In addition, we found that narratives were mainly employed to humanize science and portray scientists, rather than to emphasize the social dimensions of ocean issues.

I know, "mimimi", but still ... The hardest thing is to say "no" to cool outreach events that I just don't have time to do (especially when taking into account that I have to get to Germany to do them first and not the parts that are close to the border) :(

@vicgrinberg This is exactly how I deal with it! And I also have a nice ‘default reply’ I can copy and adjust so I don’t have to think about the phrasing every time and I maintain a list of people from underrepresented groups who would like to do more outreach, so I can refer to them.

Toen ik 15 was luisterde ik met mijn vriendin Cristel avondenlang naar Jesus Christ Superstar en wilde ik dat dit nummer op mijn uitvaart gedraaid zou worden. Heel veel zin om in maart met Cristel naar de muscial te gaan!

A slight delay because we were ill, but today I made Papas Arrugadas with Mojo Rojo (thanks to a recipe from @vicgrinberg) and it was wonderful and a bit like we were at Lanzarote again...
